Welcome to The Lincoln Log Cabin! Log cabin offers quaint, serene, peaceful surroundings perched along the Jump River in Sheldon, WI. You'll love the log details, rustic decor, modern amenities, wrap around deck, wildlife, privacy, stamped patio, quiet river mornings, & firepit nights making for a great destination! Shallow river with rock bottom is the perfect home for small mouth bass, crawfish, frogs, turtles, & many other river creatures. We enjoy the sound of cranes, coyotes, & the occasional eagle traveling low along the river! The town of Jump River (about a mile) offers nearby drink/dining, & with a little further trip you find Ladysmith & Lake Holcombe for more choices. Easily access snowmobile/ATV trails, & use the river to your hearts content! River is condusive to kayaking (depth depending), floating, wading, fishing, & winter travel by snowmobile. Cabin is a loft design (so not a lot of privacy). The adjacent garage may also be rented. Please inquire with any questions, prior to booking or for rates/availability for both. Base price is for two guests. We hope to share our "river escape" with you!

Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Leave beds as is so I can see what was used.

Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
$250 fee if the grill is left dirty. If you use the grill you must clean it, empty grease tray, and clean tray as well. A dirty grill=fire hazard.

If you are looking for peace and relaxation, this is for you. The cabin is very comfortable. The host provides you with everything you could possibly need, plus more. The location on Jump River is so beautiful. Highly recommend.

We had such a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin in the woods! The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend with friends. The view was absolutely stunning. we loved sitting on the deck in the morning with coffee, just taking it all in. The atmosphere was peaceful and private, yet close enough to everything we needed. Communication with the host was easy and friendly, and they were so accommodating. We’re already talking about coming back again. it was truly the perfect escape!

Peaceful Getaway

This is a wonderful property to get away from the hustle and bustle but still have comfort and digital connectivity. I loved sitting on the porch watching the river with a cup of coffee in the morning. Will definitely plan to stay here again.

What a great experience at this property. It was a peaceful 2 week stay; the property is somewhat "off the grid" but the wifi included worked flawlessly for both work and personal use. Beautiful surroundings with kayaks and bikes available to explore the area. There are a few establishments in Jump River for food/alcohol, otherwise both Holcombe and Ladysmith are a 25 minute drive with a number of options. Walmart is also in Ladysmith for any substantial grocery/supply runs. The host was a pleasure to work with; she was quick to respond to any questions/requests during our stay. We would definitely stay here again!

Relaxing Few Days At The Cabin

This was a perfect getaway for me and my dog. The cabin was very cozy, and I just loved being able to sit out on the porch and enjoy the peacefulness of the river. My dog also loved being able to run around on the property, which he doesn’t get much of in the city. So it was a real treat for him as well.I'd love to come back in the fall when it's a little cooler and try out the wood stove in the cabin. :)

Located next to a beautiful small river, supplied w everything. No neighbours close, calm, cosy. The dogs loved to run around, river goes around the lot, only one side is accessible on the road, so they had a lot of off leash time ☺️👋

Refreshing River Retreat

We stayed at this property in late March. It was such a gorgeous spot. We were able to do some snowshoeing and hiking along the Ice Age Trail that was nearby. We just loved sitting and watching the river. We saw so many different bird species and just enjoyed relaxing and recharging amongst the gorgeous landscape and nature. Beautiful place to stay. Great property manager. Highly recommend.

Everything was exactly like the listing. Decently secluded and right on the Jump River! We were able to go kayaking, fishing and even explored the little town of Sheldon. They supplied wood for the fire pit which was very nice. There was so many things to do in this cabin and me and my boyfriend enjoyed this home away from home! We will definitely be back in the future.

Cozy cabin on the river

Lovely cabin on the river. We wanted rest and relaxation and found it! Our dogs loved to be outside and run around. We hope to come back in the summer to enjoy it. Be sure to get groceries and bottled water before you arrive to the area. There are no grocery stores very close. There is no cell service at the cabin, but the WIFI is great. If relying on cell phone maps, put the address in maps before you get to the area. Be careful on the roads. There are Amish horse and buggies. The owners are kind and left us to ourselves.

Enjoyed this time of R&R sitting on the porch to see Bald Eagles, Kingfisher, Sand Pipper etc. so up close. It took a couple days to adjust to the quiet solitude, and fully appreciate how this became a special time for me for my wife. Thanks, Kristen by informing us about the thermostat, Wi-Fi, and Netflix for evening watching. Would you do away with the Swiffer mop for something else? The crawl space access the Styrofoam panel is loose fitting, and I found open... this could be an easy fix. Is this feedback helpful, Paul
