Great location while visiting our family. The cabin has a great kitchen with everything we needed. It was clean with comfortable beds. We brought an extra fan with us. Host was quickly responsive when we had questions.
This property is clean, comfortable and fully equipped. The only downside to our experience was that the chairs outside on the back patio were broken or uncomfortable to sit on. The cloth covering the picnic table was worn and came off on your arms or clothing. Also, there is road noise from RT. 37. which if you were looking for a quiet river experience in the woods that isn't the case. Also, as the owner states, there is no access to the river from the cabin and when the leaves are out it is hard to even see the river. Overall, it is a good value for the price.
We stayed a couple of nights in lieu of a hotel. This is a cute, cozy, clean 2 bedroom cabin with a decent sized open kitchen/living room space. It has plenty of space for a small-medium sized group. Towels, bed linens, & blankets are provided as well as several items for cooking (slow cooker, pots/pans, plates, silverware, etc) & cleanup (dish soap, dish cloths, etc). There are many DVDs & board games. The back patio offers a beautiful wooded view overlooking the Manistee River. No access to the river from the patio area (it appears the stairs /railings are in the process of being built)-it would be quite the stair climb down & back up as the cabin sits quite a ways above the river. When in the area, I would stay here again.

This property was nice. The pictures were taken some time ago and are not super current. The kitchen is well stocked with whatever you need to use to cook with. The house is spacious. There is an unpleasant smell that hits you as soon as you walk in and follows through your stay. This property owner definitely try’s hard to make you comfortable they just need to take a few extra measures with the smell. Let me reiterate that we enjoyed our stay! It is quiet and private and secure. The smell is our major complaint but is an easy fix.
This was our second time staying here for only one night on our way to drive our son to camp. We enjoyed the updates made to the house (smart TV, WIFI). It's clean and has everything you need to cook at home. Beds were comfortable. We really enjoyed the deck at night. We had excellent communication from the host - she answers any questions almost immediately and was able to accommodate a late check-out request which made our trip even more convenient. We had dinner at Timbers and breakfast at Patty Cakes - both were very good and affordable. I'd definitely stay again and would love to extend it to 2 days so we could explore the beautiful river and Manistee National forest.
The place was depressing, dirty and terrible location.

Not accurate
I don’t know how or where people said it’s beautiful— what river. Couldn’t see any water. It’s all over grown and not very clean. Outside patio was the size of a coffee table. No room to walk around. The house was clean. But not maintained. Windows hard to open. Bugs filled the window sils.

Was a perfect cabin for our wedding visit. Well stocked with everything we needed. Clean, comfortable and a good value for two couples. Everthing was as advertised, close to venue and market in Mesick for essentials. Thanks
The Host KimMe is AMAZING!Very accommodating and ready to help with any issues that may arise.I saw a comment about well water, the cabin had a water container with filter in the fridge and it was fine. We were only a few minutes away from family. We came up to visit family. We are a family of 7 and it seemed very spacious for us. We would book again!
Very disappointed that owner charged me an extra $60 to replace approx 12" piece of floor molding that cracked simply by moving the kitchen chair to get up from table - it certainly was not an intentional or careless action that resulted in the damage (I wasn't even sure that it had not been cracked prior to our stay). Owner also accused us of climbing over a wire fence - we are 54 and 57 years old and would never consider such an action especially when the other side of the fence was steep drop off down to the river.
Rustic cabin - very clean!! I just wish the stairs to the lake were operational- although we did know before we couldn’t use them - it would have been nice see more of the lake. Nice stay cute little cabin!
It was 2 nights. Good for dog owners. Clean close to wilderness canoes.
