Secluded at 9200 feet in the Colorado Rockies, the Pioneer Cabin IS your next escape! There's nothing quite like it...

Nestled inside the Golden Gate Canyon State Park, we built our cabin in an extremely exclusive location to offer you one of a kind views, nature walks, bird watching, star gazing and of course... relaxation!

Pioneer cabin offers lodging for up to 6 people, and provides professionally curated interior rooms and brand new everything. Adjacent to the property, you will find a large rock formation, the "Crows Nest", which offers beautiful views of Denver, and includes stone steps for easy access. Beautiful Mt. Evans can be viewed from almost anywhere on the property, including directly out the master bedroom window. Located on 2.5 acres at 9200 feet, the cabin is secluded and extremely quiet. Breathtaking views of the stars and the Milky Way can been seen at night. It is also not uncommon for the occasional elk or moose to wander into the premises.

After your morning coffee, experience the purest mountain air... as you wander out each morning to the enchanting silence of the Ponderosa Pines. At night, the lights of Denver sparkle on the horizon, and above, a breathtaking panorama of stars. Relax in the luxurious hot tub, grill out on the large back deck, or sit around the firepit, roasting smores and trading stories.

Some of our favorite things about our family owned property are:

• The contemporary architecture and design of the home. A designer's dream from the inside out; "Pioneer cabin" is simply picture perfect. From the natural lighting beaming in, to the atmosphere of the interior, we know you will feel pampered in every room!
• On the right hand side of our cabin you will find a natural rock formation which we have elevated by adding stepping stones, so that you can easily climb atop, and enjoy even higher views of the entire mountain landscape and Denver.
• The back deck offers a gas fire-pit perfect for roasting delicious marshmallows, and comfortable Adirondack chairs to gather round.
• A large, brand new jacuzzi takes your relaxation to the next level.
• Pet friendly (for a small fee)

This is such a cool place. Amazing views, amenities galore, and hiking nearby- it is a perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature for a few days. Being dog-friendly was another huge perk for us.

My husband and I stayed at here for our trip/elopement and it was absolutely beautiful! We loved all of the amenities, especially the hot tub. There are many hiking opportunities close and the view of Denver at night is very cool. It very much feels like a private oasis!

Beautiful cabin

Everything was amazing! The cleanliness of the property, the views, the hot tub. The host was super gracious in allowing our dog to stay there too! We booked this cabin for our wedding weekend in Golden and while the drive is kinda lengthy, the views are totally worth it in my opinion! It made the weekend really magical! My dog was also a fan of the views (see photo for reference)

Adorable and Fun

This is a really cute, cozy cabin with modern features. It feels secluded with an abundance of tall pines and gorgeous rock formations. The view was beautiful - we watched the sunrise from the living room / back deck each morning. The hot tub was new, large, and wonderful. Kitchen had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. Highly recommend.

The PERFECT cabin!

We LOVED our weekend at this cabin! It was just perfect! We came to Colorado to elope and because of the rain, ended up just eloping on the beautiful grounds of the cabin! It couldn't have been more amazing! Great accommodations for us and our 4 kiddos! They loved exploring the grounds. I hope we will be able to return to the place we got married on our first wedding anniversary!

This property was definitely worth it!! My husband and 2 children enjoyed our stay, it was clean and organized. The views from inside looking out were beautiful. I appreciated the fast communication when we landed in Colorado. The kitchen had everything you needed, we surprisingly enjoyed the jacuzzi in the cold weather!! We loved the deck that led to the picnic area near the rocks. This is worth it to anyone wanting to experience something near near the mountains.

Amazing Getaway!

Our family of 4 stayed at the property for a short spring break getaway and it was PERFECT! The cabin had everything we needed and more to rest, relax, and enjoy some quality time away. The kitchen had all that we needed to make our dinners each evening, complete with a gorgeous view of the city lights of Denver. We enjoyed s'mores on the deck with the help of the fire pit and spent a lot of time relaxing in the hot tub. We had plenty of room in the cabin to hang out, play games, read, and listen to music. The beds were comfortable and the cabin was well-appointed and cozy! We ventured into nearby Golden one day (about a 45-minute drive) for lunch and to wander around the city, then the next, we checked out Nederland (an easy 20-minute drive away). Lots of hiking and fishing nearby also!Would highly recommend the property to anyone looking for a relaxing, upscale mountain getaway. We'd stay again in a heartbeat!

We left our full time engineering jobs, and embarked on a journey to create unique, memorable experiences for those seeking to escape the mundane. We have just a handful of properties, but each one is a labor of love. We purchase, renovate, build, and manage them ourselves full-time. We source all our employees from the local area, and customers always deal directly with us, the owners.

Why they chose this property

We love Colorado and wanted to create a unique, secluded experience for families, and those seeking a mountain getaway. We acquired this property in August 2021, and spent a year transforming it from a 1970s, neglected 350 sqft cabin into a brand new, modern 2 bedroom cabin. We went live in September of 2022, and absolutely love this property. We only wish we could stay at it more often!
