Bec-Hellouin Abbey and Château du Champ de Bataille are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Boucles de la Seine Natural Regional Park and Seine. Parc Zoologique Cerza and Satie Museum are also worth visiting. About the host

Although my wife and I live in the US, the attachment to this family house is strong and we stay there several times each year when we come to France.
Why they chose this property
The hunting lodge and the forest (120 acres) where the house is located were purchased by my grandfather, who enjoyed hunting with his friends and meals in front of the fireplace. After my father inherited the property he bought the frame and foundation of a 200 year old Normand timber-frame house and built la Mûche in 1974 in an area of the forest with views of the Risle river.
What makes this property unique
Being in the middle of a forest with a view of the valley provides a great place to relax away from traffic and the pressures of modern life.
Having 120 acres gives many walk opportunities and a place for children to play.
In early 2017, La Mûche was the recipient of an award from the Agency for Tourism Development of Eure.
