Love the house with easy access to the city and walking distance to the park and beach. The house was very warm and welcoming with awesome communication with Susan. Would highly recommend this house for a large group.
The house was perfect for our family gathering. Ample space to spread out if we needed to, and ample space to gather and share family stories! The weather was percect and we enjoyed sitting out on the porch.
Imagine a summer hideaway to host Alice in Wonderland and Gatsby--the Edgewater Bohemian Beach Clubhouse would be it!Just 5-min on foot from the soft sands of Lake Erie’s beaches, this house is a time-traveling art installation—equal parts Victorian, Boho, and whimsical fantasy. The entryway greets you with authentic gold wallpaper that gleams like a royal welcome. Each floor is its own curated world, complete with not one, not two, but THREE unique kitchens. The blue and white kitchen on the second floor was our favorite, crowned by a chandelier that belongs in an opera house but somehow feels right at home here. And then there’s the stained glass room, a kaleidoscope of light and color that felt like sitting inside a jewel box. We spent hours just soaking in the mood, reading, daydreaming, and admiring the environment.Every detail in the house is dripping with personality, history, and a magic. This is a place to be inspired. Bravo to the creator of this mad, beautiful masterpiece.
The house worked very well for our weekend gathering of 6. Everyone had their own bedroom and there are good places for everyone to gather and hang out. The house is quirky but that was fine with us and added to the fun!
Our trip entailed 9 people from St. Louis, Denver, Charlotte and Boone, NC, to celebrate Thanksgiving. The host, Susan, was accommodating and attentive. She even bought a roaster for the property so we could make a turkey. The house itself is in an excellent location and one-of-a-kind. We would definitely consider staying there next year.
House is in a great location to the beach area. Nice walkable places.
House itself was awesome. Huge, charming and great art pieces. Host is excellent. I would come back anytime.
The family enjoyed the museums and the beach and the airshow
Enjoyed the house but need to look at the window on the second floor. It looks like There’s a broken window that will not close and won’t lock and possibly needs replaced other than that enjoyed ourselves
This large home provided a unique experience for our family and friends visiting the area for a long weekend. The antique décor was fun and we loved the charm. Still plenty of modern amenities with the 3 nice bathrooms and multiple TV’s. The kitchen(s) where stocked well enough to cook family breakfast. The location was great – only 10 minutes to drive downtown or 5 minutes to walk to the beaches and parks. The communication with the host was excellent and everything was as we expected. Definitely recommend this for large groups looking to stay near Cleveland.
We had very nice days in this house, using all the amenities and specially the barbecue. Nice rooms and kitchen well equipped. Location is also great near the lake. Thanks for everything!!
Traveled to Cleveland for a downtown wedding with three adult children and their SO's. Perfect quirky house to hang or find space, and a great spot with beach and park access, and ridiculously easy access to all things downtown.
We were. visiting family for Christmas - this home had plenty of room for all of us to be together. The host put up and decorated a tree just for us! We loved being able to relax together.
We had a job in Cleveland and had to send 5 guys to stay. The guys enjoyed having their own bedrooms and the multiple kitchens within the property. There is a lot of space in this house. We would highly recommend as there is also a lot of parking onsite as well.
No power during our stay, middle of the summer. Had been a storm and trees down, roads closed etc.. last day a generator was brought but could only run a couple cords. Besides that, place was fine.

Had its Problems
We were hoping for a 5-star stay, leading to a 5-star review. Sadly, that was not the case. Despite our host being nice, and accommodating, there were things that could not be remedied while the VRBO was occupied. They should have been taken care of prior to our stay. Some main issues:•Overwhelming, moldy, mildewy smell emanating from basement and mud room. Mushrooms were growing in basement walls. Tiles fell off the walls when walking down the stairs to wash towels.•Centipedes in 1st and 2nd floor bedrooms and bathrooms. •Dirty air-conditioning units with bug casings in window sills and dirty windows, dust under beds. Dirty pots and pans 1st floor.•Insufficient electrical to run all bedroom a/c units at the same time even when common area units were off. No hairdryers were used. Lights in 1st floor the kitchen went on and off when opening the refrigerator door. •Paint fragments blew around bonus room if fan was used. The host gave use of this room w/out charge, but once A/C blew a fuse, it went to triple digits and the space was unusable. Paint fragments from ceiling littered stairwell to 2nd floor.•There was active water damage on some ceilings. •Instead of ice cubes in the 1st floor freezer, there were full size paint brushes. Maybe used to paint over tiles in 1st floor bathroom?•We would not stay here again.•We did not ask for any compensation. The porch was nice. We made good use of our time together out there.
The location of the house is nice as it is close to the parks and the front porch makes for great outdoor space for a large family. The house is as pictured: an older home with lots of furniture. Our group was let down by the lack of overall cleanliness, standard kitchenware and functioning items - like the clogged bathrooms mentioned in other reviews. Fortunately, the host was responsive to our inquiries when issues came up.
Enjoyed our stay in Edgewater Park! This location has so many convivences like great rated restaurants, gas stations, and grocery stores within minutes. The atmosphere was comfy and decorated quite lovely giving a romantic Victorian vibe. I loved it. Also, the neighborhood park was quiet and secure. The beach and park are a walkable distance. Every bedroom was spacious and room enough to walk around in. All Kitchens and Bathrooms were well stocked with supplies. This home had so many getaway spaces for reading and relaxation while staying with a family of eight. I appreciated the owner being so accommodating and not having a rigid list of to do's or not to do's like some other Vrbo owners. I would highly recommend staying!
