Welcome to Lakeside Lodge on Petenwell Lake. Nestled on a stunning 5.5-acre wooded lot, our log cabin offers a perfect blend of comfort and adventure, making it an ideal getaway for families and friends.

The location puts year-round adventure at your doorstep: boat, fish or paddle straight from the property, then explore the 44,000-acre Necedah National Wildlife Refuge, tee off at nearby Sand Valley, hit the Ho-Chunk Casino (10 minutes), or treat the kids to Wisconsin Dells waterparks (45 minutes). Snowmobile and ATV trails, downhill skiing and state-park hiking keep the itinerary full no matter the season.

****Attention - The shoreline is owned by the Wisconsin River Power Company and the walk path along the lake is public land to be used for hiking. There is a nice sandy beach with no shoreline rocks just north of the cabin lot and a short walk from the backyard. This beach area can be used to load the boat or park during the day. Leaving the boat unattended is not recommended due to the changing lake winds.  You will need to trailer your watercraft each evening since there is no overnight docking on the beach. The cabin property has plenty of space for trailer parking and the nearest public boat launch is just minutes away at Wilderness Park. We appreciate your understanding and hope you enjoy your time at the lake!

Pontoon Rentals:
If you’d like to enjoy a day on the water, pontoons are available to rent at The Lure (also Barnum Bay Marina, just across the lake) for $400/full day or $250/half day, plus gas. Advance arrangements are recommended — you can learn more here:

This spacious 5-bedroom, 4-bathroom home offers plenty of room for families and friends to spread out, relax, and enjoy time together. With vaulted ceilings and an open-concept design, the main living area feels bright and inviting—perfect for gathering, cooking meals in the fully stocked kitchen, or playing games around the large dining table.

Off the living room, you’ll find a cozy screened-in porch with extra seating, offering a peaceful spot to sip your morning coffee or unwind in the evening. From there, step out onto the deck that faces the lake, complete with a grill, patio furniture, and a fire table—ideal for outdoor meals and sunset conversations. Just beyond, a large stone firepit with additional seating awaits, perfect for roasting marshmallows and stargazing.

On the main floor, you’ll find a queen bedroom and a shared full bathroom, along with the master suite featuring a luxurious jacuzzi tub and an extra twin bed, perfect for little ones. Upstairs, the open loft provides amazing views of the lake and includes two queen beds and a full bathroom—an ideal setup for additional guests or kids who want their own space.

The lower level is designed for comfort and fun. It includes two more bedrooms—one with a full bed and one with a king—plus a full bathroom and a large common area. Here, you’ll find the biggest, most comfortable sectional sofa, a big-screen TV for movie nights, and a fold-out futon for extra sleeping space.

To make the most of your lake days, the home offers four kayaks, two paddle boards, fishing poles, life vests, lawn chairs, beach towels, and sand toys—everything you need for a fun and relaxing time on the water or by the shore.

With thoughtful touches throughout, stunning outdoor spaces, and plenty of sleeping arrangements, this home is perfect for multi-family stays or group trips. Whether you’re soaking in the jacuzzi tub, paddling on the lake, grilling on the deck, or relaxing by the firepit, you’ll have everything you need for a truly memorable vacation.
