'Mountain Top' boasts incredible panoramic views of over 7 mountain ranges from 4463 feet of elevation. Enjoy watching the sunset while sitting at the bar by the fireplace on the screened in porch. This cozy 2 bed, 2.5 bath log cabin has 4 outdoor areas (fire pit/picnic table on the lawn, uncovered patio, covered patio, and enclosed patio), 2 fireplaces, washer/dryer and a fully stocked kitchen. Couch which converts to a twin bed, 2 inflatable beds, and a Pack and Play are available for additional guests. Close to many hiking trails. 6 miles to Lake Glenville Boat Launch, 7 miles to High Falls Trail and Lake Glenville Public Beach, 15 miles to the quaint town of Cashiers, or Franklin in the other direction.

Mountain top get away

The cabin was lovely with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. It was very clean and well kept. We being an older couple but still young at heart could have used a few more simple amenities. We like to brew our coffee so we ended up buying a Mr Coffee pot at Walmart. Also a few more kitchen gadgets like colanders for spaghetti ,salad spinner, iron skillet , etc would be a good items to add. A few small tables on the porch for snacks by the fireplace would be great. And replace the uncomfortable chunky dining table chairs. We love cooking in and enjoy eating at the cabin but those chairs are just wrong! Overall we did love the cabin and would recommend .

My husband and I live in southwest Florida. As wonderful as it sounds to live in the sunny south, believe it or not the heat can become oppressive, especially in the summer. The pandemic changed our way of traveling and we ended up renting places in various parts of NC for the last three summers. We fell in love with the mountains, hiking, cool weather, and the people. The minute we stepped foot onto the back deck at "Mountain Top" we knew that it was the home for us. We are certain that you will love it as much as we do!!

Why they chose this property

We had just begun looking at homes to purchase in the Cullowhee, Lake Glenville, Cashiers area when we came across "Mountain Top". I didn't even make it inside of the house before I knew that this was the house for us! I sat down at the bar area on the enclosed patio and looked out over the vast mountain landscape and I could picture myself enjoying that view for years to come.

What makes this property unique

The views are spectacular, the pictures don't even come close to capturing their beauty. The inside of the house is cozy and has all the essentials for a brief few day stay or a 2-week long vacation.
