❤️1937 Cabin near Lake Glenville - 50 Acre Estate - Private Hike & Views! 10⭐️

Our 1937 Cabin located near Lake Glenville has been completely renovated top to bottom with no cost spared in furnishings. Everything new!!! Very private on 50 acre estate and the only rental on our property with great access to Lake Glenville, Cashiers and Highlands. Level entry, no steps!!! Gorgeous 1 Bedroom with a new queen bed, luxury linens, Lexington nightstand, small antique round side table, bench, small custom closet and Regina Andrew lighting, 1 Bath with Ronbow vanity, slate tiles on floor, tiled shower with glass door and a fully stocked kitchen. Gray custom kitchen cabinets and large island with microwave and granite countertops, glass top stove with double ovens and counterdepth fridge with bottom freezer drawer. Please note there is NO DISHWASHER or garbage disposal.

The washer and dryer is located in the pantry area. There is wood flooring throughout the cabin except bathroom’s slate tile. 65” Sony new smart TV mounted in living area above Restoration Hardware console. Mounted TV pulls out and swivels for best viewing. Direct TV , Netflix set up, Wi-Fi and Landline are included.

Two covered porches with large screened porch in back, all furnished with outdoor seating, tables, cushions and rocking chairs. Porches and walkway have red oak flooring. Private driveway and close, level parking . The fire pit area has a stone bench and two black Adirondack chairs with a custom firewood structure, plenty of firewood, kindling and starters. The 1937 Cabin has an automated full house generator. Elevation 3900! There is a hike on the property that is offered to our two guests staying at the cabin. It is 1/2 mile uphill the whole way and there is 300 feet that would be considered a strenuous hike with the most gorgeous views! Elevation 4300! We have planted 4000 rhododendrons, mostly purple on the property and they are planted all the way to the top!


We are located near the northwest side of Lake Glenville, 2.8 miles from public Lake Glenville boat ramps, 3 miles to Pines Recreation Area with beach and picnic area overlooking Lake Glenville, 8.3 miles to Cashiers and 14 miles to Highlands.

Many nearby hikes in the area with Yellow Mountain, High Falls and Whiteside Mountain being very popular. Lots of info in the cabin welcome guide about hikes, waterfalls and restaurants.

Beautiful and cozy cabin close to Lake Glenville

We loved our stay in this beautiful and cozy cabin. The setting is so beautiful and the hike on site is so fun and the view amazing. We loved the screened in porch and the fire pit as well. Owners are great and gave great recommendations on the area. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

This place is absolutely spectacular. The pictures don’t do it any justice. Super clean inside and out. It’s the perfect place to stay for a getaway. If I could rate it higher I would. Very nice accommodations and property is beautiful. Fire pit was perfect with everything you needed to have a fire up and burning in just a few minutes. Distance to Cashiers and Highlands was not a concern.

Great Spot!

We loved our stay in this wonderful cabin. EVERYTHING has been thought of! The grounds are gorgeous and we enjoyed the private trail to the top of the property- great views! We spent lots of time on the porch and made s’mores around the fire pit. Inside, the cabin was spotless and so comfortable. The owners are very nice and helpful with recommendations. This property is very well cared for and it shows, we would highly recommend!

I wish I could keep it secret

This is one of those places I would selfishly like to keep secret but that would be unfair. This is a lovely little cottage. The hosts are very welcoming. Feels wonderful from the second you walk in the door. Selina does an excellent job of sharing information about the surrounding area. I really wish I could have enjoyed the cute screened porch, but an early cold snap prevented that. But we were nice and snug inside.

Cashiers getaway

Wonderful & relaxing property. Cottage is extremely comfortable with numerous personal touches. Screen porch is perfect outdoor room to take in nature and soothe the mind. Surroundings are "park-like". Owners' amenities are more thoughtful than any vacation rental we've ever stayed. Easy to communicate with and very knowledgeable of local interests and activities. The Perfect Mountain Vacation

From the moment we arrived we knew we were at the most charming and beautifully appointed cabin. It was elegantly furnished, clean, cozy and the location was conveniently located near Cashiers, Highlands and Franklin. The kitchen was stocked with many complimentary items including everything we needed for s’mores. During our 7 night stay we enjoyed the outdoor fire pit every evening and John kept us stocked with firewood. The hiking on the property and views were second to none. The hosts Selina and John were very gracious and accommodating. If you’re fortunate enough to stay at this property you will not be disappointed.

Magical Cottage

We had the good fortune to secure a 4 night get away to this magical cottage in Cullowhee, NC. Cannot say enough about the property's beautiful, peaceful and secluded surroundings. The cottage was small but perfect for my husband, myself and our dog Max. The interior decor and furnishings were chic yet comfortable. Kitchen had everything imaginable for creating for a gourmet meal. The outdoor gas grill was immaculate and much appreciated. We had a fire each night outside by the firepit surrounded by Adirondack chairs. Selina even provided ingredients for S'mores. If you are lucky enough to book a stay you will not regret it.

Little slice of heaven

We had a wonderful visit to this area and cabin. Selina went out of her way to provide snacks and toiletries and you really want for nothing. We stayed a week and went to all the area towns and lakes and waterfalls and our dog had a great time hiking with us The cabin is just as portrayed in the pictures and Selina is always quick to respond if you have any questions or need anything. Make sure to check out Glenville lake— it’s gorgeous There’s a wonderful fire pit, that has wood supplied, we didn’t get to use it. We were afraid of the dry conditions and leaves blowing to risk it I absolutely adored the screened in porch. I spent a good bit of time just relaxing out there We timed it just right to view the beautiful fall colors of the leaves changing and even went for a short trip on the Blue Ridge parkway for spectacular views We enjoyed our stay and would love to return in the future.

This cabin is top-shelf in all ways. Selena goes above and beyond to make your stay a 5-star experience. The property is so well-maintained. The cabin is beautifully decorated. The welcome book is full of useful info. Selena has it stocked so you can have a little something the first morning before you go to the store. There were juices, sodas, butter, half & half, coffee, sweeteners, even s’more fixins for the fire pit and snacks to take hiking. Do not hesitate to make your reservation at this cabin. The property and the host get a “superb” rating from us.

Why they chose this property

My husband and I have owned this 50 acre property for 25 years. Our house overlooks Lake Glenville and was built in the early 1900’s. The 1937 Cabin was built by the original owner for his son and new bride in 1937 and is the only rental on the property. The 1937 Cabin is located on the north side of the property, very private and 7 acres or so from our house which you cannot see. The 1937 Cabin has been completely renovated from top to bottom with no cost spared in furnishings. Many improvements have been made over the years including planting almost 4000 rhododendrons and is just breathtaking in May when they are in bloom. This property is one of the last large acreage overlooking Lake Glenville that hasn’t been developed.
