The host was great, the cabin was clean and had everything we needed. We took the hike on the property, its extremely steep but was worth the climb. The only thing that would make this cabin better would be a hot tub and better mountain views from the cabin.
We had a lovely time staying here! The property is beautiful and was in a great location for local hiking trails and access to lake Glenville. The hike on the property was a nice addition with a wonderful view of the mountains and plenty of birdwatching. The communication with the hosts was 10/10, they were very responsive and checked in on us during our stay. We would absolutely stay here again if we are back in the area.
Our stay at this cabin is wonderful. It has everything one would ever want, the location is great, and the host is wonderful. The hiking and property is beautiful. The cabin was perfect for us nice and cozy. Just sit out on the porch and relax. Already looking forward to our return to this perfect couples getaway!
Everything you could think to ask for was provided. Beautiful property and excellent location. Close enough to everything to be convenient, yet still secluded.
Everything was better than expected. Very clean and well managed vacation rental. We highly recommend staying here and will stay here again in the future if it is available. Perfect for a couples retreat
What an amazing place to stay! I can't recommend it highly enough. Selina was an amazing host, offering great communication and attention to detail. The hike up to the top of the mountain is incredible, and the views are stunning. The house is so clean and nicely decorated...so comfortable. I will definitely be back!
Our host was wonderful! The property was beautiful. The cabin was well equipped and very tastefully decorated. There was so many nice touches that made our visit perfect.
This is the only place we’ve rented twice and it won’t be our last. Everything is over the top, from the furnishings to the amenities. We absolutely love this place. The location is lovely!! Already planning our next stay!!!!
My wife and I had another amazing stay here at this incredible location viewing the fall colors. We couldn’t ask for a better host than Selena and John. Looking forward to another visit soon!
We absolutely loved our stay at the 1937 cabin. It's beautifully furnished and so many little extras to make for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It was quiet and peaceful, just what we were looking for. We hope to return sometime.
Everything was awesome from the host to the amenities. The grounds were very lush with plants and the trees were numerous and full of fall colors. The cottage was very neat and clean and had lots of character and elegance. It was a very comfortable and relaxing place to visit!Jeff S.
We loved our stay! Check-in was a breeze! The accommodations were outstanding. The kitchen was well equipped. Our host could not have been nicer! We highly recommend this delightful, cozy cottage!
This was the loveliest home away from home we’ve ever encountered while traveling. It was cozy and beautifully decorated. The kitchen has everything you could hope for. Selina & John are welcoming wonderful hosts. Our Scottish terrier Skye loved the manicured grounds and places to run. We definitely hope to return one day soon.
My husband and I have owned this 50 acre property for many years. Our house overlooks Lake Glenville and was built in the early 1900’s. The 1937 Cabin was built by the original owner for his son and new bride in 1937 and is the only rental on the property. The one level 1937 Cabin is located on the north side of the property, very private and 7 acres or so from our house which you cannot see. The 1937 Cabin has been completely renovated from top to bottom with no cost spared in furnishings. Many improvements have been made over the years including planting almost 4000 rhododendrons and is just breathtaking in May when they are in bloom. This property is one of the last large acreage overlooking Lake Glenville that hasn’t been developed.
What makes this property unique
You cannot beat our location! The 1937 Cabin location is between Cashiers and Highlands, North Carolina and located near the northwest side of Lake Glenville. The map on our listing is accurate. A private hike on the property has the most gorgeous views at the top. The 1937 Cabin is very private but close to shopping, great restaurants, hikes and the many waterfalls our area has to offer!
