Great little place in a great location. It is a little bit noisy as it’s a duplex but worth it for the great price and great location. I enjoyed my time there!
My husband and I rented this property for our first time visiting NOLA. The host, Helen, was kind, hospitable, and helpful. Checking in and out was easy and simple, and her property was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. It was just what we needed, considering most of our trip included eating at restaurants and not cooking meals at the rental. The neighborhood seemed safe, and parking was okay -- the furthest away I had to park was across the street. We will definitely rent here again next time we visit New Orleans.
We enjoyed the stay and it was nice on the inside and clean. Very good for 2 people maybe 3. The only problem we had was parking which was parallel parking due to not enough space outside and to many cars but other than that it was enjoyable.
The space was great!Very clean, stocked well, great location.Host was next door but you would have never known.I've stayed in many rentals and never was left enough toilet paper for two women. We had plenty here and fresh towels and linen.Helen was very gracious and accommodating.Would love to return!
This vacation rental is one of the best we’ve ever stayed in! Super cute and the bed was so comfortable! Very close to Oak Street which we frequented quite a bit. Quick drive to the French Quarter, St. Charles, midtown, everything really! Helen is so responsive and friendly. I highly recommend!
Loved coming back to this great little house. Close to all that you need. Shopping, restaurants, parks etc. all within driving or walking distance.Quiet neighborhood Loved the comfy bed, tv in bedroom, all the comforts of home, refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, coffeemaker, no stove. Will be returning soon. Thanks for being a wonderful host!
Very clean comfortable stay. Older homes in process of being rehabbed. There were eateries worth exploring. Parking was a little confusing and neighbor verbalized resentment towards rentals and accompanying traffic.
This property was only a short walk to our preferred Oak Street area of New Orleans. It was very clean, comfortable, quiet, and well maintained indoors and outdoors. The host, whom we met by accident, was extremely helpful and pleasant. We especially enjoyed our morning and evening time spent just sitting on the front porch.
When I read the reviews before booking, I noticed everyone talking about how comfy the bed was. Well, I’m about to add to that list, cause dang! We loved sitting out on the porch. The neighborhood is so quiet. The neighbors we met were so friendly. I worried about the parking from other comments, but if there wasn’t a spot in front of the house, there is a field about 2-3 houses down across the street that always was. I worried about not being close to everything. But it was an 15 min drive to the French Quarter or West End. It ended up being such a perfect location and out of the chaos of downtown. Everything was wonderful!

Thank you for the lovely review Amy! Comeback anytime! 😃
We loved Helen's place! The apartment is very clean, and the bed comfortable. We were there during a cold snap, and the central heating kept us cozy. All the kitchenette supplies are there, large fridge, ice, coffee, dishes, silverware. Big TV with cable was great to have. Typical nice New Orleans neighborhood, so the parking can be a challenge. Helen was always there to help us, including once giving up her own parking spot for us to use. She took good care of us! We highly recommend this rental, and would certainly stay there again.
I returned to New Orleans for my 50th year high school from John F. Kennedy. On this visit I decided to skip the hotel and instead elected to rent a home in the River Bend neighborhood of New Orleans. It was an excellent location that provided easy access to the JFK 50 year festivities and avoided travel on the Interstate highway. However, the neighbor also offered easy access to the Interstate. The apartment was a well maintained unit of a traditional New Orleans shotgun home. It was very well furnished and even included breakfast snacks, coffee, washer/dryer combo, along with central air conditioning. Although the unit didn't have a stove it was near to a variety of area resturants. Except for the occasional sound of a train or horns from river boat traffic it was a fantastic get away.
Our 7 day stay was absolutely perfect! Helen had everything you could ever need available for your use in and outside of her home, in case you forgot something. The bed was super comfortable and the shower was fantastic, especially for my tall husband. The location is great as well, as long as you get a trolley pass, which I highly recommend as parking around the French Quarter and such can get pricey on a longer stay. You can catch the trolley a few blocks over. Very convenient and safe neighborhood, we definitely felt at home. If I had to say anything negative about our experience whatsoever, it would only be the parking situation, which is not the owners fault by any means there's just not room for designated parking so we had to park at the corner most days, due to us bringing a large truck, a smaller car may have no issues at all with parking, but again not the owners fault. Her place was most definitely our favorite and we will be back without a doubt. Highly recommend staying here!!!
We highly recommend this rental. The host is terrific. She is quiet and unobtrusive but available if you need anything - being right next-door is a plus. She went above and beyond in fixing an error with VRBO reservation before we arrived - no doubt took her hours! We so appreciated that. She has thought of every amenity in the home too. Little touches that you appreciate more and more during the stay. We were here for two weeks and it felt like home. We look forward to coming back again one day. The neighborhood is very quiet and neighbors really care about each other. It’s very conveniently located especially if you are visiting someone at Tulane living on Audobon side of campus as it’s literally a 1 mile drive. There is street parking and at the most we were two houses down on a busy night - most of the time we parked right in front of the house. Bed is comfortable, shower terrific, the washer and dryer are great, reliable WiFi, Netflix on the TV. There’s even a second TV in the BR. Cute little patio overlooking a nice little garden in front - wish we were here during fig season as there are two gigantic fruit trees in front ready to yield thousands of beautiful figs! No stove top but we didn’t need it as there’s a microwave and a toaster oven. It’s absolutely perfect for two people.
The house was very clean but the location was a bit far from downtown.
