Other Things To Note:

We are working folks just like you and this is our family cabin. Not a big, corporate vacation rental machine. We love our cabin and love having guests enjoy it and just ask that folks please be considerate and responsible during their stay!

The drive up to the cabin is mostly easy, but the final road to the cabin is a one lane gravel mountain road that has a couple steep or bumpy parts. Can’t get the amazing mountain views without a little climb! A vehicle with all-wheel drive or four-wheel drive is recommended, but NOT completely necessary in the spring, summer, and fall. Our family has driven up the mountain many times in a 2015 Toyota Highlander with only two-wheel drive without any issues. Nonetheless, for peace of mind, we RECOMMEND guests have ALL-WHEEL DRIVE or FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE vehicles (particularly if you do not have prior experience driving up a winding mountain road to a cabin and/or if you are visiting during a time of year when it could snow or there could generally be icy driving conditions).

Comfortably sleeps 10 using 3 king beds, 1 queen bed, and 1 queen sleeper sofa. 14 guest maximum if you have kids/teens who are comfortable using the queen-sized inflatable air mattresses and/or couches. If you bring more guests than accounted for on your reservation, there will be a fee of $100 per extra guest.

We love dogs, but all dogs must be approved in advance. Only pre-approved, well-behaved dogs allowed. Two dog maximum. We have a HUGE pet crate on the main level, and dogs MUST be crated in that crate when guests leave the house. Non-refundable pet fee of $200. The pet fee allows you to bring your approved pets to the cabin and covers the extra cleaning costs (including removing pet hair) and any damage your pet may accidentally cause. Please do not let your dogs on the furniture or in the beds, but if you want to snuggle with your pup on a couch, please ensure your pup is on a washable blanket so that the leather couches do not get scratched. We are dog lovers at heart, but also love our cabin and want to keep it nice for others, so we just ask that folks be thoughtful, responsible dog owners if bringing a dog. If you would like to bring a pet, please add a pet when selecting the number of guests in your party (which automatically adds the pet fee) and please send me a message with some basic info on your pet (e.g., size, age, breed, well-trained, etc.) with your booking inquiry.

All guests must be 25+ years old except for kids accompanied by their parents.

Smart TVs in every room, including a massive 75” Smart TV in the basement game room, which is super fun for live sports and family movie nights. We provide a YouTube TV account accessible through all of those TVs. Guests can also use their own accounts and passwords to access Netflix, Hulu, and other streaming services on those TVs.

We have one Ring camera/floodlight for your protection located outside near the front porch solely to view the driveway and front door for security. This is to keep guests safe! The floodlight is motion-sensored and very helpful at night. If a guest repositions or tampers with the camera, then all guests will unfortunately be asked to check out and depart immediately. This is for your safety and protection!

The cabin is at the top of a mountain in the woods. You will see and hear animals. (We always see deer.) There is no attic. Part of the roof is metal. If it rains or if there is a squirrel on the roof, you may hear it. Bears are RARE, and we have yet to personally see a bear while in Blue Ridge, but they are in the area. If you see a bear, stay away from it and do not feed it. Bears are dangerous.

The hot tub is emptied, refilled, and treated. Please read the hot tub rules before using the hot tub. Use the hot tub at your own risk. You should not use the hot tub if you have consumed alcohol or if you are pregnant.

Check out is at 10:00 a.m. and check in is at 4:00 p.m. Early check ins and late check outs are not available because our cleaning team operates on a specific, tight schedule. If guests do not fully vacate the cabin by 10:00 a.m. on their scheduled departure date, there will be a $50 fee for the first 30 minutes overstayed and a $100 fee for each subsequent 30 minute period overstayed.

There are no refunds for bad weather, excessive rain, snow, hurricanes and other natural disasters, power outages, and other events or conditions that are outside of our control.

We provide a couple rolls of paper towels, some rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom, handsoaps in all bathrooms, and some coffee to get you started. Bathrooms have soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. We do not provide food, condiments, spices, Ziploc bags, etc. Extra items needed are the responsibility of the guest.

We do our best to monitor the firewood for the firepit and wood-burning fireplace and to keep firewood stocked for guests, but we do not guarantee that any firewood will be available. If there is not enough firewood during your stay, there are many places in Blue Ridge to buy firewood (including the grocery stores and many roadside stops). If you use the firepit or wood-burning fireplace outside, please use a reasonable amount of firewood and please do not build excessively big, dangerous fires. Fire is inherently dangerous, and any use of the firepit and fireplaces is at your own risk. Please don’t burn down the cabin! :-)

Please NO SMOKING at the cabin. Please also do not use any candles in the cabin.

Driveway fits three or four cars depending on the size of your vehicles.

Maintenance folks will not be sent during your stay. Only after you check out and leave. If something is broken, it is often because a prior guest did not let us know. If you see something in need of repair or rehab, please let us know so we can take care of it before the next guest.

Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Rates subject to change until your reservation is booked and confirmed.

Each guest renting or staying at the cabin will be responsible for all damage to the cabin and the cabin owner’s personal property located on, in, or around the cabin caused by the guest or any member of the guest’s group as well as any damage to or loss of personal property of the guest or any member of the guest’s group staying at the cabin. Each such guest, on behalf of themselves and all members of their party, shall indemnify, defend, and hold the cabin owner harmless from and against all liabilities, theft, damage, and expenses arising from any loss or damages that may arise out of or in connection with the use and occupancy of the cabin by the guest and members of its group. This includes any claim or liability for personal injury, illness, damage, or theft of property incurred or sustained by guest or any member of the guest’s group. The exchange of money shall automatically constitute acceptance of the foregoing terms.

Guests must sign our standard Short Term Rental Agreement after booking. The guest who books the reservation will be sent a link to click and electronically sign. We suggest that all members of your group staying at the cabin read this listing and our Short Term Rental Agreement so that they are familiar with all of this detail as well.

Florida man who loves beach and mountain destinations and whose favorite hobby is planning fun, action-packed family vacation adventures and robust vacation itineraries. Fell in love with the Blue Ridge, Georgia area (and neighboring towns) after multiple mountain trips to north Georgia and North Carolina during the pandemic. We take pride in our family cabin and love to share it with guests and provide them the opportunity for a dream vacation in Blue Ridge, Georgia. Some of the funds we generate go back toward maintaining and improving the cabin and back into the travel community through our own family travels and renting of Vrbos. Thanks for looking! :-)

Why they chose this property

Blue Ridge has SO MUCH FUN STUFF to do. You could visit Blue Ridge 5 times and still barely scratch the surface. See below and above for a high-level summary of all of the activities and excursions. Plus, Blue Ridge is an easy drive to numerous other fun small towns like Ellijay, Jasper, Canton, Helen, and more, each of which has their own fun experiences. And, it's a short drive to Atlanta in the event you want to catch a Braves game or sample other entertainment and cultural events or activities in the Atlanta area.
