Comfortable Beach House for Two!

We had a long weekend stay, small house but has all you need for a couple, we cooked, enjoyed the beach rode our bikes, it was our first trip to Top Sail, we will return.

Needs cleaning

Location great. Very cute house. Couches/throw pillows, area rugs all quite dirty. Need professional cleaning or replacements. Fireplace dripped constant water into the decor when it rained. Underlying smell of mold in bathroom but no visible signs. Would return if FP repaired and deep cleaning done.

Perfect place for two people and a dog

Short walk across the road to the beach access. Very few people in the area compared to many other beaches. Perfect place to fish at the inlet next to the house.

Great location!

We enjoyed our time in the Half Shell. The only draw back was it didn’t appear that it had been cleaned before our arrival. I had to clean the kitchen sink, wipe out the refrigerator and counters. The bathroom throw rugs were dirty and the tub also. After I cleaned and we unpacked we were determined to have a great time. The location was awesome! Fishing and kayaking in the canal was wonderful. The short walk to the beach for surf fishing and relaxing was enjoyable. I would rent this cottage again even after the rocky start if it wasn’t for the price. It has gone up substantially. Also, the area is very nice.
