This is the second time we've stayed at Lost Key. Really love that development! This property was a great size for us. Unfortunately the pool was closed while we were there, but we enjoyed ourselves at the beach!

Beautiful house in a stunning location

The house was beautiful and very well equipped. The shuttle bus to the beach was welcomed in the hot weather, but easy walk to beach. Beach club very welcoming and the beach is stunning. Would recommend

Nice Townhome!

The townhome community is wonderful! We had a wonderful stay even though the beach had double red flags most days. The large pool was nice; however both pools were closed on our last day (Saturday), and we never figured out why.

Thank you for your review! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay at the townhome community despite the beach conditions. It's unfortunate to hear about the pools being closed unexpectedly on your last day. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Your feedback helps us ensure better experiences for future guests. We hope to welcome you back soon for another enjoyable stay!

Everything was clean and beautiful, and the place was much bigger than I imagined. But the property is Managed outside of Vrbo so you get separate links and a website to check in so once you figure their website out it’s reasonable and you get your entry code on your guest link. It’s a drive to the beach club since it’s a huge property, but they have buses to pick you up, although you have to get familiar with their guest website to request that, so we just drove. The place is beautiful and huge and has everything you need. We were just frustrated that the electricity went out in the upstairs bedrooms and they had to put in a work order to fix it. The AC worked fantastic though. It was just a breaker switch that probably flipped, but the breaker box is locked up, so as much as we wanted to just flip the switch ourselves, we couldn’t. No one showed up to fix it during our stay, so they’d get 5 stars without the electrical problem and a slightly uncomfortable master bed. But plenty of room and beds. If you call Vrbo, they can’t directly help you, but they will do a third-party call to the property management company, if needed. With all of that said, the beach club was awesome and the area was beautiful and close to everything. It’s a beach club- resort style, so that’s cool. Just a bummer that we couldn’t watch tv together upstairs and I had to sleep in another bed from my husband since the master bed leans a bit with two people in it.

The property is well kept, well stocked and clean and cozy. The neighborhood is quiet and feels safe. The pool and gym are awesome. We’ve been coming since 2019 to Lost Key. This year was the first year that the private beach access was lacking. Chair service was not provided and the bar was not opened and/or not stocked with typical adult beverages as they have been in the past. We personally feel that if it’s advertised as private beach club access, then those amenities should be provided. We don’t mind to spend money for quality space and service. This was the first time we felt as though the service was sub par. Bring back the quality at the beach club.

We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the condo, neighborhood, and amenities — it sounds like you’ve made Lost Key a special tradition over the years. Thank you for sharing your honest feedback about the beach club services. While operations there are managed separately, your comments are appreciated and will certainly be passed along. We hope to welcome you back for another great stay soon!

Lost Key trip

We love this area, and the unit was nice. There were some housekeeping issues (one was addressed as soon as we notified the manager's office). Everything we needed was stocked and in workin gorder. There are not beach towels in the unit, so be sure to bring your own. There are conflicting check in times when you reserve this unit ... be aware that check in time is 4:00 PM. I was supposed to be notified if the unit was ready to prior to that (it was), but I wasn't able to get the code until after 4 PM. The beach shuttle runs frequently throughout the day. I was told by the management company to just go out and wait for it, but if you'll stop by the guard booth, they will give you a phone number to call for pick up from the unit.

Thank you for sharing your experience! We're glad to hear that you love the area and found the unit nice overall. We appreciate your understanding regarding the housekeeping issues and are pleased that our management team was able to address one promptly. Thank you for noting the lack of beach towels; we’ll make sure to communicate that better to future guests. We understand the check-in time can be a bit confusing, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused by not receiving the code until after 4 PM. Your tips about the beach shuttle are also helpful and will assist future guests in navigating their stay. We appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you back for an even better experience next time!

Short & Sweet Fall Break

We arrived late Thursday night for a long fall break weekend with our 2 college aged children. Late check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow. The townhome was as described & clean. I will say that the bunk beds are more appropriate for young children - not older teens or young adults but my son was comfortable on the pull-out couch in LR. The kitchen was well stocked & we had plenty of towels for our long weekend. I loved the screened porch in the morning. It was also a great place for card games at night. (unless neighbors were on theirs smoking) The townhome that we stayed in was the perfect morning walk to beach for sunrise but when lugging beach gear - the complimentary shuttle is the best option. Amenities were very nice but we weren’t there long enough to enjoy all of them. One of two ceiling fans in LR did not work but the AC kept the townhome at a great temperature. Because of the Fall weather we were actually chilly in the evening. A short but sweet Fall Break for our family.

Overall, this property is great! For the money it is a fantastic deal! Home was spacious, exceptionally clean and decorated well. The property offers great amenities such as the club, pools, golf course and gym. Areas that I believe would be great improvement:-all mattresses could use an upgrade, not comfortable at all. -instructions on how to call and use the shuttle service upon arrival would be great. We didn't know until text response on Monday morning. -letting guests know ahead of time the beach club is closed on Mondays would benefit planning Mommas like me. If you want beach time, then pack your own drinks/food on Mondays. (however, website says closed Tuesdays)My blended family party enjoyed our time here and made lots of memories.
