Looking for that pet friendly Cabin in the woods with a Killer view, a hot tub to soak away the day, back porch to watch the world flow by and a cozy fire pit? Come enjoy the serenity and seclusion and only be 15 min. from Chimney Rock/Lake Lure, 25 min. from Hendersonville and Black Mountain, and 45 min. from Asheville and Tryon.
A unique and custom cabin filled with the warmth and charm that comes with natural stone, oak and tile floors and all wood interior. Nestled in the woods to take advantage of the sunsets over a long distance view, a lovely spot for coffee or tea in the morning and a glass of wine or beverage with the evening sunset. The main floor has the kitchen, dinning area, living area, stone hearth with gas stove, and ½ bath with wash machine. The loft bedroom is on the upper level that includes the full bath, a tiled shower with tub.
There are a total of 4 pet friendly rental cabins and a care takers cottage on the 13 acres. Over the 35 years since the property was purchased the owner, a woodworker, has participated in the building of all the cabins. Each is unique in design and positioned so that they have space and privacy. The newly added Hot Tub and adjacent Fire Pit complete this special setting.
Located near Bat Cave, Chimney Rock and Lake Lure, North Carolina and convenient to all the surrounding areas.
Secluded yet close to neighbors! This is a small mountain top community of personal homes and second homes. The on-site caretakers/property managers live in a central cabin 100 yards from the house. There are other cabins on the property and in the vicinity so you can have seclusion and comfort knowing that in an emergency there are others people about. Houses are all adequately spaced out so you feel the solitude and privacy you need.
The house is at an elevation of 3,200 ft. Be ready for curvy, sometimes steep but well-maintained roads. No public transport is near. Though there is an uber driver who services surrounding areas.
Once you leave the main highway you will be traveling a narrow, curvy, mostly paved road to the top of the mountain. GPS may not be completely accurate but directions are provided in your check-in instructions to help navigate.

Our WiFi is supplied by US Cellular and is a cell tower based system. It has, over the years, proven to be adequate for communicating, streaming and working from the cabins. It will be slower than cable, fiber optic or what you are use to at home. We do not have cable , TV is from a digital antenna that provides local channels.
You are welcome to sign into your streaming services on the Smart TV.

Leave Sheets and used towels at bottom of stairs. Pour bathroom trash into kitchen trash. Do not worry about taking it out. Housekeeping will remove.

Use Provided Protective cover between pets and Bed/Furniture. Vacuum for Pet hair during stay and prior to check out. Please, thank you!

Labor Day Weekend Vacay

Spent one full day at this beautiful scenic cabin, and my only wish was that I had spent at least two full days. Spent the day in Chimney rock and the evening relaxing in the hot tub which was well maintained.

Beautiful little cabin with a view

We truly enjoyed our stay! The cabin was very clean and had all we needed. We enjoyed sitting on the porch in the morning as the weather was perfect! The hot tub was also enjoyable in the evening. We will be back again sometime in the future.

What an AWESOME stay

My girlfriend and I spent 4 days in the Little Cabin in September and had the most amazing experience. The place is beautiful, plenty of room, just perfect! The only disappointing things were there were too many leaves on the trees so we didn't get to see the full view, we didn't see any bears and we had to come home. NONE of which could be helped. LoL! Thank you so much for everything! We'll see you next year.

Great getaway!

This little gem was great for a long weekend. The kitchen was equipped with decent knives, Cuisnart pots & pans, and anything else that you would need. Great grill on the deck which looked out to the mountains. Enjoyed watching the hummingbird and spent the majority of time in hot tub when we weren’t hiking. Near Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. Will definitely be back!

Having spent the majority of my working years on the Outer Banks of North Carolina I was privileged to live on Hatteras and Ocracoke islands for over 25 years, you'll note the art in the house depicts many coastal scenes. A graduate of Western Carolina University where the mountains became a major part of the journey. These days are spent between this area and the Abaco Islands of the Bahamas

The property was a special place when found in the mid 80's and it has been being worked on and cared for as the place of peace, tranquility and escape from the real world over the years.

What you will find in this home is the simpleness of living. Being a builder, publisher and sailor the end result of the years of work and experience have come together here. For those who have spent time on a boat the efficacy of the space is fitting for the lifestyle.
