My stay was great! The house is well decorated and very comfortable. I would highly recommend this location for a couples get away. I really enjoyed watching the busy squirrel out the window as well as all the fish activity in the pond. Super relaxing!

Thank you so much for you return visit and for your review. We greatly appreciate you.
In Jesup for a family wedding at The 1788 Ranch, my wife and I sought a peaceful, yet conveniently located home for our stay. The Serenity Cabin checked all the boxes!Access to the home was seamless, in which we, upon entry, were greeted by scenic views through the picture windows, and comfortable amenities. While recognizing its purpose, the home exhibits careful consideration was given to curating features intended to ensure guest comfort without being indulgent or pretentious. Indoors and out, the property was exceptionally clean and tidy. During our downtime, we enjoyed sitting on the deck, which extends over the adjacent pond, watching the plentiful fish and basking in the abundant sunshine. Being near the water, the host took extra care ahead of our stay to minimize the presence of mosquitoes. While the purpose of our stay was very simply serenity and sanctuary, the host provides a number of options for entertainment & relaxation which would appeal to couples and small families alike, including an outdoor grill, firepit, kayak, fishing gear (catch & release only), and plenty of outdoor seating.Last, our host Mary was excellent. Communication was concise and pleasant, yet unobtrusive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again!
I made this reservation to stay while I was near by to do some construction work. First impression is that the place was beautiful and upon first communication with the host it was evident that they honestly cared about me enjoying my stay. The place was very comfortable and furnished very well. During my stay Hurricane Helene came through and did a lot of damage to the area. We did experience a long term power outage but the host family went out of their way to ensure I had what I needed and was as comfortable as possible. While I would never expect this kind of treatment from a host, it spoke volumes as to the host and the effort they put into their guests. I would highly recommend staying at this beautiful location. I plan to stay again once the area is back on its feet and we are able to resume our work in the neighboring town.

Thank you so much for those kind comments! Things are finally back to normal after Hurricane Helene and we look forward to you staying at the cabin again soon. Thanks again!
We had a great time at this really cute little cabin just minutes away from the Altamaha River. Mary is a fantastic host and everyone we met were really nice. The pond is beautiful with very quirky fish. Schools of Striped Bass and Bream will gather at the edge and watch you, hoping that you feed them. If you do, they will not disappoint. Our only hiccup was the well water, which had not run for a while before we arrived and had a smell to it at first, but once it ran for a little bit, it was fine. The cabin was very comfortable and the oversized windows in the living room allowed an amazing 180-degree view of the sky - which offered up thunderstorms and rich auburn sunsets during our stay. We definitely recommend it! Five stars.
