Only 1-hour from the Twin Cities.

“What an amazing little slice of heaven. The cabin itself is cozy, well-designed, and perfect for a couple's getaway. Waking up to a beautiful view of the lake was nothing short of dreamy. It was an absolute bonus to be able to bring our fur baby with as well!” – Recent review.

Boat launch information for summer bookings:
Goose Lake is part of a chain of lakes. If you have questions about the boat launch or water levels, please reach out and we're happy to help provide additional information! The boat launch is on the smaller Upper Goose Lake, which is joined to Lower Goose Lake, where our cabin is located. You will need to cross under a small bridge that connects the two lakes. We recommend the private boat launch 'Goose Lake Narrows Resort' (1450 Goose Lake Narrows, Stanchfield, MN 55080), for $7.00 fee.

Nice Quiet Weekend Away
The property was very clean and had everything we needed for a quiet weekend away for my partner and I with our dog. They left us a few treats that we snacked on during our hike at a nearby hiking trail. We were looking forward to having a bonfire with the bundles of wood included in the stay, but it rained while we were there. Luckily, the little fireplace provided a cozy atmosphere while we read books and finished puzzles. I rated the check-in process as 4 out of 5 because we had the wrong code for the electronic front door, but Melissa was able to resolve the problem within 15 minutes. Once we had the right code the keypad was super easy to use and everything about the property and the host were 5 out of 5.

Fall Getaway
My daughter and I spent 5 days at this adorable cabin in September. It fit our needs perfectly, it was clean, well thought out for the provided activities and in a good location for hiking and exploring. Our hosts were helpful and very accommodating. This place will definitely be at the top of our list to visit next time we plan a stay in this area.

Wonderful place to stay
This cabin is wonderful. The views of the lake are really beautiful and even though the water level is a little low this year we still were able to get the canoe out and paddle around the lake. We saw lots of different birds & some huge fish splashed up out of the water. We brought our dog along and she had a really wonderful time splashing about too. I would definately recomend this as a place to stay. It's close to Cambridge & other attractions if you don't want to spend all your time on the water. Very comfortable & peaceful place to stay, I wish I were still there.

Wonderful Summer Break
This cabin and location were perfect. Only a 60 min. from the Twin Cities, yet a remote central Minnesota lake experience. We enjoyed sunning and canoeing on Goose Lake, and also hiking nearby at the St. Croix River. The cabin is simple, clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. We hope to make a return trip.

Beautiful, quiet get-away
Lovely location! Quiet, and perfect for a lake get away only an hour away from the metro. Everything was very cozy, clean and comfortable. Fur babies enjoyed the lake and trying out paddleboarding. We enjoyed it very much, and the hosts were very gracious.
