The house is in a Fantastic location- walking distance to great shops, coffee shops and restaurants! Quiet neighborhood & great front and back porch to hang out on.
This a great house. We walked in and felt right at home. Everything has been completely redone The neighborhood and distance to the city is also a big plus.
The property worked perfect for our family of four. The kitchen was amazing for family meals and the little island worked for playing board games. Perfect location, we were close to all the attractions we went too but was out of the busyness of downtown. The deck out front was lovely in the morning and the deck out back was perfect in the evening. Love the property!
It’s a wonderful property- clean, cozy and charming. It was great to sit on the front porch on a warm afternoon. Two negatives. There is an apartment below, which I didn’t pick up from the listing. However except for one night when there was a party (not too loud or too late), there was no disturbance. The other was a very inappropriate and offensive political button in one drawer of the dresser. I don’t know if it belonged to the owner or a prior occupant, but, either way, it should have been removed before we arrived.
I highly recommend this lovely little place. The hosts were very welcoming. For example, I mentioned that I'd be arriving after midnight and they (without me asking) made sure the porchlight and heat was turned on. Thanks!
Had a great stay. The house was fantastic and very close to the family we were visiting. The neighborhood is quiet and within walking distance to many great places. Will keep this place in mind for future visits.
We were walking distance from family so spent most of time away from house. Only issue was check in and electronic lock wouldnt take the password. Owner responded quickly and an alternative was provided for rest of trip. Place was clean and comfortable. Laundry is stacked unit in closet but extra capacity.
Our stay was very pleasant. The rental was clean. And comfortable. James was a great host. He promptly responded to my questions. I would definitely return on my next Seattle trip
My husband and I and our daughter rented this beautiful home. Our oldest son lives in Seattle. Our middle son and our grandson met us ( from Yokohama ) there and stayed with his brother. We were only about a mile and a half apart. The house was perfect for our needs. The back deck is gorgeous. It is a wonderful area for walking. The flowers around some houses were absolutely beautiful. We spent a day in downtown Seattle as the Japanese Contingent has not been there. We ferried to Bainbridge and hiked Deception Pass. The older children visited some great breweries and Grandma and Grandpa provided babysitting services. We had a fantastic family celebration at June Baby and I highly recommend it. The food and the service was excellent. James was fantastic about communication. I think he even arranged for the perfect weather for the time that we were there. It was a wonderful week to be together with family.

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in, communication
Not well set up
First, the host did not send check in information even after being prompted twice via email. When there was a response, I was sent a rental agreement information for a different property in a different city. I needed to get that clarified with the host, and we only received check in information as we were arriving which was unnecessarily stressful.
The owner, by the way, is a real estate agent, and clearly the property is run like a business. Kind of like a hotel room.
The house is located in a great neighborhood. No issues there. Very close to good restaurants, a grocery store and bus lines.
The house is really just the main floor-- There is an apartment in the basement from which loud bass heavy music emanated from at times, though not at night. Late night arrivals home, though, were disruptive to sleep. Loud laughter, etc. followed the arrival home from the downstairs neighbor.
There were numerous things that made the stay less than positive:
- No TP (beyond the roll that was out), no salt/pepper, no cooking oil, no skillet, no coffee filters (or “complementary” coffee or bottled water, which the printed information sheet claimed), no dish cloth, no spatula. Actually, the skillets were found in the OVEN after intending to use the oven to make toast as there is no toaster.
- fireplace was difficult to work (with no help)
- No cover on the duvet. (Does the duvet get washed after each guest?)
- No recycling containers (in Seattle??!!??)
