Welcome to The Akron Retreat
Experience luxury and style at this beautifully renovated home in the heart of Highland Square. Our modern and contemporary West Akron home is the perfect place to host you and your loved ones. The home is located in a friendly and welcoming neighborhood, and your hosts are always close by to assist you during your stay.
This century home has undergone a full renovation, and features brand new amenities for you to enjoy. The open concept kitchen and living room are flooded with natural light and feature a modern breakfast bar and a Smart TV. Each bedroom is equipped with its own Smart TV and blackout curtains, as well as a noise machine to ensure a peaceful night's sleep. The beds are outfitted with high-end bedding, pillows, and towels, making you feel like you're at a five-star hotel. High-speed internet with a mesh system is available throughout the entire home.
The Akron Retreat is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom home. Two of the bedrooms have a queen-sized bed, and the third bedroom has a twin-sized bed. This home is the perfect blend of style and comfort, and we can't wait to host you!

It is also close to Cuyahoga Valley National Park, and just blocks away from the beautiful stately homes on Jefferson and Dorchester. The Akron Retreat is a short drive from downtown Akron, hospitals, the University of Akron, and popular destinations such as Stan Hywet, the John Brown House, and the Akron Children's Museum. Cleveland is just a 45-minute drive away. The Mustard Seed, a popular health food grocery store and restaurant, is also just minutes from the guesthouse. Highland Square is a great neighborhood for walking, with plenty of tree-lined sidewalks and shade.

An exterior camera is placed on the property to monitor the driveway and walkways leading up to the entry door. This is for the benefit of our caretakers and to ensure that the home is properly prepared for arriving guests. The camera does not invade the privacy of guests and is only used for insurance and liability purposes. During your stay, you will have access to the entire home and property, with the exception of the basement, which is used for storage.

Getting Around Akron
There are several ways to get around Akron, Ohio. The most popular mode of transportation is by car, as the city is served by a network of roads and highways, including Interstates 76 and 77, which provide easy access to the rest of the region.

House Rules
-Our home can comfortably accommodate up to 5 guests
-At no additional fee, we have 1 pack and play (with fitted sheets and blanket) and 1 high chair available if needed. At the time of your reservation, please notify us and we will have everything set up for you upon arrival.
-No additional guests are permitted during your stay other than who is disclosed in your reservation.
-Please remove your shoes upon entering the home. There's a shoe container at the front door to place your shoes in.
🚭 Absolutely no smoking of any substance or form inside or outside our property. If you or your guests smoke inside our home, there will be an automatic $500.00 cleaning fee charged to you. Any cigarette butts found will be subject to $100/butt fine to be picked led up by my crew.
🚫 Absolutely no glitter or sequins allowed inside our home. We will add on an additional cleaning fee of $100.00 if glitter is found.
🚫 We do not allow pets inside our home. If you have a trained service animal, (Service animals are working animals that have been trained to perform specific tasks that assist disabled people) you MUST disclose this at booking. We will have to arrange for special cleaning after your departure.
-Guests may park in the driveway or on the street.
-This home is in a residential community and there is a noise ordnance in place after 9PM. The yard is partially fenced in. Please be aware of this if you have young children.
- We are happy to allow you an earlier arrival or later departure IF it is available that day, although I will not know until 24 hours beforehand. However, if you would like to guarantee an earlier arrival or later departure then there is a fee required to block off the additional time and/or increase the size of the cleaning crew in order to accomodate.
-Our fee is $50/hour for up to 4 hours of more time, more than that, we ask that you book an additional night.
