About this property
Historic 3 bedroom home 3 blocks from Il. Wesleyan and shopping
Our home is located in the Roosevelt Historic District 3 blocks from Illinois Wesleyan. Walking distance to shops and downtown Bloomington. This home boasts a charming front porch and a peaceful backyard with a deck and gas grill. We have all kinds of wildlife so please be kind to our squirrels, birds, opossum and wood chuck. Our historic home was renovated with custom woodwork, tile and handprinted murals. We stuck to the original feeling of the home to take our guest back in time.

Why they chose this property
Our home is in a historic area and has been rehabbed to honor its history. Built in 1909, it has had many lives including an IWU sorority house. The home features custom woodworking throughout, custom tile work, original art work, original photography, antiques, and historical letters from The White House.
Our yard is completely organic. The front porch is a charming place to hang out and bird watch. The backyard/ deck is great for bird watching as well as squirrel, woodchuck and opossum watching. We have owls, hawks, woodpeckers, cardinals and finches. We love and respect our wildlife, we hope you will do the same.
The back deck is great for grilling and sitting by a fire at night.
*We are now offering handmade soap from a local artisan, The Wright Soapery, out of Urbana IL. They are so beautiful and fragrant made with the best ingredients. Please use during your stay and take the remainder home.
