This wonderful little cabin is beautifully isolated. A very quiet place indeed. It is sparsely but furnished for functionality. It has all the basics to enjoy the lake it was meant to be. The water is deep enough for swimming and is crystal clear. I wouldn’t hesitate to rent again. The property manager, Gail was very supportive and prompt in all communication.

… it could be a gem!
The waterfront location is fabulous. Sadly, rustic doesn’t even begin to describe how much TLC this property needs. We love a good old fashioned rustic cottage vibe but cleanliness is essential. Evidence of active pest infestation on beds and floors was alarming. The rental was dirty. We spent our first vacation day on our hands and knees washing floors etc. Needless to say, the conditions in this home were unacceptable. It took several attempts to contact the rental company, they were slow to respond. Once we were able to connect with them however they handled the situation immediately and moved us to another waterfront rental. It was certainly a week to remember. This home is not ready for renters. It has amazing potential if the owners / rental agency invested the time this property needs to shine.
Loved this cottage. If you’re looking for knotty pine interiors and a space that’s functional and reflects the “up to camp” vibes of your childhood, look no further. We stayed here for 2 weeks and enjoyed every moment. It’s quiet and right on the water. We spent mornings on the screened in porch, drinking coffee while being serenaded by loons. Our days and nights consisted of relaxing on the outdoor patio or screened in porch. Fierce cribbage competitions occurred and many many laughs were had. Honestly, it was just about perfect. There were 2 things that would have made our stay 10/10 instead of 9/10. 1. There were no working outdoor lights so evenings outside were difficult. Navigating the rocky property was difficult in the dark. We brought our golden retriever with us. She loved it up there but taking her out in the dark was an exercise in patience and balance. 2. Wasps. There were ground nests around the back of the property where you park. My husband was stung several times when going to or from our vehicle or taking the dog out. We tried to avoid them as much as possible but were still stung. That said, it won’t deter us from returning. Those things are so small in comparison to the peace and relaxing we found here.
