About this property
Finca Mapache | Near Historic Downtown Attractions
Finca Mapache is a lovely five bedroom home that can be rented four separate ways. Casita Zorro and Casita Zorrillo are both one bedroom units, Casa Mapache is a three bedroom unit or rent the whole house as Finca Mapache! Surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty, this bright and cozy vacation home is close to historic downtown Santa Fe, where you can experience firsthand the amazing architecture of Santa Fe Plaza and the original Spanish Market Square, the 17th Century Palace of the Governors, the New Mexico Museum of Art, and the Loretto Chapel with its unusual spiral staircase winding up to the choir loft. From this convenient location you can visit nearby pueblos and immerse yourself in the rich Native American history and culture. And with an average of 320 sunny days each year, the area around Santa Fe is a hub for skiers, mountain bikers, golfers, hikers, river rafters, and so much more!
Casita Zorro’s living room is a great place to hang out. A cable TV provides the entertainment, or you can take advantage of the free Wi-Fi to surf the web or check out the local attractions while you plan your day's adventures. Santa Fe has a plethora of wonderful restaurants and coffee shops, but if you feel like having a night in, Casita Zorro’s kitchen is ready to accommodate you. Fully equipped with appliances and all the cookware, utensils and dishes you’ll need, you’ll be able to prepare anything from an elaborate meal to a toasted jalapeno bagel and cup of coffee.

Just minutes from downtown Santa Fe, Casa Mapache sleeps eight people and is built in the traditional Pueblo Revival adobe style. A cozy living area features tiled floors, viga beamed ceiling, comfortable leather furnishings, a tiled panoramic fireplace and large flat-screen cable TV. Plenty of windows let in natural light and offer inspiring views of the surrounding terrain.
Gather at Casa Mapache's large, farmhouse-style dining table for six in the rustic dining area to enjoy a family meal or game night. Conveniently close to the dining room, the spacious and beautiful gourmet kitchen features stainless steel appliances (including a gas stove), a butcher block-topped kitchen island and granite countertops with tile backsplash, while the expansive wood cabinets are well stocked with all the cookware, dinnerware, and utensils you’ll need to prepare your favorite Mexican dishes (or heat up leftovers from one of the many culinary delights the area has to offer). A cozy, well-lit breakfast nook is a lovely place to enjoy your morning coffee while checking the weather on your tablet (there’s free Wi-Fi).
Ideal for smaller families or two couples traveling together, the primary bedroom in both Casita Zorro and Casita Zorrillo features a luxurious king-size bed and there is a sofa sleeper in the living room. You’ll want to be well rested for all the great hiking opportunities the area has to offer, and the comfortable bedroom can help you with that. Casita Zorro and Casita Zorrillo are far more than just a place to sleep and shower before heading out to your New Mexico adventures.
All three of Casa Mapache’s sumptuous bedrooms are furnished with beautifully made-up king-size beds, ceiling fans, and beautifully tiled en suite bathrooms. The master bathroom features a large vanity with dual sinks, huge soaking tub, and tiled walk-in shower. More than one family traveling together? A second cozy seating area, kitchenette and dining area allow you plenty of opportunities for some private time. Afterwards, join the gang on the large, fenced-in patio, where a comfortable dining set and gas grill are perfect for cookouts, and finish the day in the rocking chairs around the fire pit while you watch the stars come out.
