Welcome to Moonrise, a stunning midcentury modern retreat located on 7 acres of secluded land in the mountains. Perfect for a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life, this picturesque getaway offers 2 bedrooms with 4 beds (K, Q, 2 Twin) and plenty of space for privacy and relaxation in the fresh mountain air.

Step outside onto the patio and take in the breathtaking valley and mountain views while enjoying the BBQ and fire pit or lounging on the comfortable furniture. Inside, the open floor plan and mid-century inspired decor with modern touches offer a comfortable and stylish space for entertaining or relaxation. The living room has a 65" TV, and the dining room is modern and comfortable.

Moonrise is perfectly situated just 7 minutes from charming downtown Mariposa and only 54 minutes from Yosemite National Park, making it a central location for exploring the region. You can also enjoy a range of outdoor activities, including hiking, biking, and fishing, and there are many local attractions and sights to see.

As our guest, you will have full access to the entire property, including the living areas, bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, and outdoor spaces. We are accessible 24/7 for our guests, but communicating directly through the VRBO app is the best way to get a fast response.

Our thorough cleaning process after each check-out ensures the cleanliness of our property, and we are a pet-friendly home, so feel free to bring your furry friends along. However, smoking inside the home is not allowed, and any evidence of smoking will result in odor removal and furniture cleaning fees.

We ask that you treat our home as your own and refrain from hosting any parties or events, and please inform the owner or property manager if you have any unregistered visitors. Daily maid service is not included in the rental rate, but it is available for an additional fee.

Please note that breaking the rules will result in an individual $500 fee, and Moonrise is located in a high-risk fire area, so there is a strict cancellation policy and no extenuating circumstance policy. If concerned, we recommend purchasing separate travel insurance.

Mariposa stay

Nice place. It suited our needs. Please note that the VRBO description listed a dishwasher, but there was not one. We contacted the owner and had to run to town to buy paper goods, because who wants to hand wash dishes after hiking in Yosemite all day? The information packet sent ahead of time also listed things not specific to the home we stayed in.

The property was beautiful and secluded. The hosts were gracious and highly responsive. They made sure everything was good throughout our entire stay. Their home made us feel welcomed and helped us relax and unwind. The beds were very comfy.
