If relaxation in the great outdoors is what you are looking for, this North Lake Tahoe gem has everything you need to have an amazing Lake Tahoe vacation. The cabin is situated on a quiet street less than 10 minutes from Tahoe City. Just down the street is public access to the beautiful Paige Meadows which is great for an easy family stroll or a big adventure into the mountains along the famous Tahoe Rim Trail. Even though you feel high up in the mountains in this alpine setting, the lake is only a short drive away. The famous Sunnyside Resort is a 5-minute drive and right next to Tahoe Park where you can have a great meal or rent any type of watercraft imaginable. As an added bonus, renting this home gives you access to Tahoe Park, a private beach/park on Lake Tahoe only a 5-minute drive away. Tahoe Park has a pier, pebble beach, grassy lawns, children’s play area, horseshoes, bocci ball courts, volleyball courts, great swimming, and BBQ areas.
For those in your group looking for a little less outdoor time, Tahoe city is less than a 10-minute drive where you will find many cute boutique shops, a wide variety of bars and restaurants, farmers markets, live music, and a big sandy beach with a great park and lakeside walkway. In the winter months, you are only a 20-minute drive to Palisades Tahoe Ski Resorts and a 12-minute drive to Homewood Ski Resort. If cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, or snowmobiling is more your thing, Paige Meadows has a great year-round trail system.
Getting Around:
The home is not within walking distance of the public transportation TART with the closest stop 1.5 miles from the home. This stop is on the Mainline and is stop Hwy 89 at Sunnyside Ln which runs every hour. Take advantage of the home's close driving proximity to Tahoe City and make the short 10-minute drive where you can use the FREE park and ride to reach locations such as Olympic Park and Northstar California Resort.
Tahoe has UBER, Lyft, and many taxi companies.
Other Things to Note:
*Please note that it frequently snows in Lake Tahoe in the winter months and as this home is well above lake level on a hill it gets A LOT of snow. If you are renting this home from November through March, please remember that there may be winter driving conditions, and a 4-wheel drive with all-terrain tires or snow chains for your 2-wheel drive tires might be necessary for safe travel. In the winter, we strongly suggest a truck or SUV with AWD or 4WD and all-terrain tires. Even if it hasn’t snowed in a few days, side roads can still be icy and have snow on them.
*This is a child-friendly rental, but it is your responsibility to bring all of the necessary equipment for their safety and comfort. We do not provide cupboard locks.
*Please note that, like most homes in the area, this home does not have A/C.
*This property has a strict NO PETS policy. We have light grey carpeted floors and the homeowners have allergies. Even hypoallergenic dogs are not allowed.
*Please note that there is a ring camera installed at the front door.
*Please note that grills and outdoor furniture are not available during the months of November to April due to snow.
Please keep in mind that if you plan to ski, you are responsible for verifying the ski resorts' opening and closing dates.
Charcoal grills are strictly forbidden in this county and will result in a $1,500 citation if used.

4-wheel drive or 2-wheel drive tires with snow chains may be necessary for safe travel to this property, even if it hasn’t snowed in a few days.
