About this property
Artsy, Light- Filled Spacious Apartment
Stay at a welcoming home, 1.5 miles from Olde Towne Arvada/Light Rail. Our house is located on a beautiful, well-maintained street in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of parking and works perfectly as a home base for exploring popular Denver/Golden/Boulder/Front-Range/mountain destinations. You will feel safe, comfortable and close to it all. Our home is located on a hill behind the popular Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities, with views of the city and mountains surrounding our house.
With full-sized, front-loading washer/dryer, a well-appointed kitchen and spacious living and sleeping areas, you’ll have all you need for comfortable long- and short-term stays. Mountain views can be seen from the front of the house and city views from the back of the house. Your space will be facing the city and it's beautiful viewing the city lights at night. There is one spacious bedroom with a memory foam queen mattress. The couches are both very comfortable and one of them pulls out into a queen sized 2nd bed. Extra cotton linens are in the closet. There is an electric fireplace for cozy, chilly nights. The 2-seater table inside doubles as a chess table and a dining table. There are lots of games to choose from in the living room armoire. You will have plenty of storage space for your food. The large, spacious bedroom has a large closet and dresser. A work desk and 2 chairs are also included in the bedroom. There is a private patio just outside your door with a large table that seats 6 for outdoor dining and morning coffee.
I am an artist and I live on the floor above the apartment. I have put a lot of pride into creating a space that feels joyful, comfortable, welcoming and inspiring. My artwork can be found throughout the space and is sometimes on rotation, either because I’ve sold a piece of because I’m excited to display a new piece in the space. I also include a small art print as a gift to commemorate your stay in Colorado!
Coffee and Snacks:
We provide a few snacks, like popcorn and chips. I also have a Keurig, Nespresso, electric hot water kettle, tea, coffee and creamer. For the two coffee machines, you will find coffee and/or espresso in the white cabinet. We use refillable pods to cut down on waste from disposable ones, but we may have a few disposable ones available, too, for your convenience. Feel free to bring your own pods for these machines if you would like.
Pet Policy:
Only 1 pet (dogs and cats) is allowed per booking. You must inform us of your pet and pay a $100 pet cleaning fee, in addition to your standard cleaning fee. Only pets that are house broken are allowed. Pets are NOT allowed on furniture. If you are afraid your pet will not be able to stay off the furniture, please request sheets from me to put over the bed comforter and couches. You must take your pet with you when you go out or put them in a crate when you leave. Pets are not to be left alone in the apartment outside of their crate, unless we have made alternate accommodations. You will be responsible for any damages to the property. The back patio is all concrete, but we do have grass in the front yard. Our neighborhood is great for walking. Please pick up all droppings. Please contact us with any questions you have about the pet policy. We love animals, but want to protect our property.
Long-term guests:
I offer a generous amount of supplies during your stay—typically a week supply or sometimes more. You should have enough supplies of everything to get through a week and then it will be your responsibility to supply your own when they run out. Long term stays are discounted and account for this extra expense. A week’s worth of supplies include: paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, dish washer detergent, dish soap, shower soap, etc.
Parking:
We offer a parking spot in our driveway or on the street in front of our house for 1 car. Please let us know if you will have more than 1 car.
The patio outside of your sliding door is your own private patio. Please do be mindful of our neighbors while outside. We live in a quiet neighborhood and many of our neighbors are older. I live in the upstairs portion of the house, so you may hear me (or my dog) walking around a bit, but we are quiet, and your space is very private. The only time you may interact with us is if we are both in front of the house at the same time. I am also available on site if there is ever anything you need or if you want to meet for a chat.

About the host
Hosted by Jessica

I am an art educator and artist. I travel to art festivals, sell online and in a few local galleries and when I'm home I work on commissioned work. I work a lot, but I absolutely love what I do. I love to travel, be outside and go on adventures. I have the cutest dog ever! Her name is Kimber and she loves belly rubs and meeting people. I have a very happy home and would love to welcome you!
Why they chose this property
I chose to live in this neighborhood due to its proximity to Boulder, Denver, Golden and I70. We are right in the middle of it all! I think it's the best location, but I am biased :). We are also less than 5 minutes from Olde Town Arvada, where you will find lots of restaurants, shops, murals and there is often a festival or something happening. My neighborhood is right behind the Arvada Center for the Arts. I teach art there and their galleries, plays and summer concert series is definitely worth looking into. We live up on hill, so we have all the views! Walks around my neighborhood are beautiful, with gorgeous, well-maintained homes and views of the mountains and the city.
What makes this property unique
The views of the city and the mountains and the nice homes on my street. It is a quiet neighborhood, so it's a great place to settle in after a bunch of hustle and bustle in the city.
