After a year of total renovation- November 2022- we are happy to announce the opening of our VRBO. Everything has been newly renovated and is ready to have some great guests!
Relax with family and friends in the small artist hamlet of Palenville, NY- home of the legend Rip Van Winkle. Activities: hiking, golfing, biking, skiing, zip lining, sightseeing, restaurants, breweries, wineries & shopping. Quaint towns nearby - Saugerties, Woodstock, Windham, Hunter, Tannersville, Athens & Hudson. Enjoy peaceful mornings on either front or rear deck. End your day relaxing by the fire pit under the stars. Cottage sits on quiet dead end road. Fully equipped eat in kitchen.

Excellent host and home.

Had to give this property 5 stars because the home, location and host are top notch! However, the tap water has an awful horrible smell and i would urge the host to improve the filtration. Otherwise 5 stars.

Pleasant stay at a wonderful property

The property was fantastic providing all the amenities we need to enjoy our stay. It was cozy, spacious, and newly renovated making it feel very clean. The host was very responsive, kind, and even plowed the driveway after a snowstorm. It was very easy to get to and a convenient drive to many surrounding towns such as Hunter and Tannersville. Would surely stay here again as it would fit all of our needs, season-round.

A Wonderful Getaway for the Family

The property was everything we hoped for. It was the right size for me, my wife, daughter and grand kids. We loved the open floor plan of the living room kitchen and dining area. Great for family entertaining and it was rural enough for quiet nights but close enough to small towns (Woodstock and Catskills) to get out and do some shopping.
