The home is spacious, clean, and provides extra blankets. Little touches like body lotion, labeling drawers to find supplies, and seeing adorable calves across the street, made our stay special. The location is 14 minutes to entering Shenandoah National Park and maybe 7 minutes to Luray Caverns. Beautiful scenery in every direction.

Wonderful stay!

What a lovely cozy, comfortable home full of everything we could have asked for. It was only 15min to the Thornton Gap entrance of SNP and plenty of stores and restaurants in the area. Thank you for a perfect weekend!

Absolutely Wonderful Stay

My husband and I stayed at this wonderful home for a trip to Shenandoah National Park and surrounding attractions. The property is just as described and pictured. The home was beautifully decorated with a warm and inviting feel. It was truly a “home away from home”, where we could relax and enjoy mountain views after days of exploring, hiking, and enjoying local restaurants. The host was wonderful and so responsive and helpful. We HIGHLY recommend a stay at this lovely home!!! Thank you!

Very cute house close to city center

Very comfortable and clean little house close to the Main Street of Luray. The host let us check in a little early and provided lots of extra towels and even toiletries which was very nice. We had a nice weekend stay!

What a lovely place! Exactly as represented online. Clean, everything needed for a great stay. Neighborhood is very quiet which is what we needed. Close to all Luray has to offer. All this and a bottle of wine!

Lovely home with mountains and cows - perfection!

This whole experience was perfect in every way. The house was cozy and welcoming. Everything you could possibly need was there, including a tree swing and a cord to attach to your pup. The host and hostess were gracious and cared about your experience. The location was great - many easily accessible places to visit. My family loves visiting the area and we would stay again!

Nice place to stay

Enjoyed my stay over Memorial Day weekend. The house is very spacious. Has a full kitchen. Enjoyed the nice touch with coffee grounds and wine bottle provided. The house was everything I had expected :). Pleased with the communication with the host. The house was very accessible to Luray and Shenandoah National Park which was about a 15 min drive to one of the main entrances.

Page Valley (Luray) Getaway

The house was perfect for our family of four with provided towels and sheets. The house has room for even more people. We felt comfortable and safe with scenic views of the mountains and greeted by cows across the road! The neighborhood was nice to walk around and visted Arrowhead Lake and Luray Caverns which both were very nice. The space was comfortable to have extended family visit after having dinner close by. We would love to come back during the Fall to see the trees in full colors.

Flower in the valley

Lovely brick cottage in a quiet neighborhood near the town of Luray. Decor was intriguing and elegant - everything freshly updated but also containing some beautiful antiques with an oriental air. ( No worries if you have children - they are displayed on the walls). Peaceful view of the mountains and cow pastures out several windows. Kitchen well equipped. Owner was very responsive and welcomed us with a bottle of wine. We especially enjoyed the fireplace!

Wonderful Stay!

We absolutely loved this property. Our family and some friends stayed here for a weekend when some of us participated in a swim race at Lake Arrowhead. The location of the house is so close to the park, it only took a few minutes to get there. The house itself is the cutest house I've ever seen! We loved the updates that the owners have done, and it is very nicely decorated (super love the glass doorknobs as curtain holders). The owners were wonderful to work with; very flexible and always responding quickly to communication. We've stayed in many VRBO properties, and this one may be our favorite. The house has everything we needed, from kitchen supplies to extra pillows, linens, and beds. It was very nice that linens were included, and the quality of linens was great. The addition of small shampoos and soaps was a pleasant surprise. We'd stay here again and again!

Lovely stay, nice, quiet getaway

Sara was wonderful and should receive exceptional rating! Very cozy and comfortable home. Loved the shower and comfy bed. Fireplace, tv and Chess board in the living room were really enjoyable. Kitchen is stocked with many plates and utensils as well pots and pans, enough to put a meal together. Would recommend having more spices. We didn’t try the restaurants in the area, but really enjoyed the park, lake and hikes near by, to name a few Arrowhead Lake and Shenandoah River state park were really enjoyable. Many houses in the street, but very quiet, we didn’t see any neighbors during our stay. It was the two of us and our puppy, it would have been nice to have a fenced in area for the dog, but they have two long leashes attached to the house entrance. The bedrooms could accommodate up to 6 people comfortably, but the living room could get crowded. We can’t wait to come back :) thank you so much for a relaxing stay and nice welcome bottle of wine.

This house was absolutely perfect for our short adventure at Shenandoah. It was better stocked than any home I’ve been in including my own, it was incredibly comfortable and perfectly put together. The listing doesn’t show the adorable cows across the street at the farm, and the views from the house are gorgeous, it was wonderful walking the neighborhood. Super easy to get to the park and close to everything in Luray. The extra counter space in the kitchen was awesome and the shower was so nice.

It was a beautiful location and we felt right at home with quick access to the best trails and gorgeous views of the mountains. We loved drinking coffee from the swing in the morning. Wish we could stay longer!

This rental is designed for guests. I loved that the cabinets and closets were all labeled. It was stocked, not just with pots and utensils, but with spices, oil, coffee, tea, sugar, camping chairs, etc. As a coffee lover, I appreciated that they offer 3 ways to make coffee... even my favorite, pour over. The neighborhood is quiet (aside from the local rooster) and the views are gorgeous. I definitely recommend staying here. If you do, walk down to Fairview Grocery, two blocks away. They have baked goods, local produce, and a little cafe. In Shenandoah National Park, check out Buck's Hollow Trail. It's right off 211 (you don't have to pay the park admission). You only have to walk 1/4 mile to get to a lovely creek.

Lanny Bailey grew up in this home and spent the past two years lovingly restoring and repairing it. He and his wife Sara love to hike in Skyline Drive especially the waterfall hikes. In addition they enjoy kayaking on the Shenandoah river and biking out to Lake Arrowhead. Lanny recommends the bologna sandwiches at Fairview grocery and Sara recommends The Valley Cork! While their full time home is in Virginia Beach where they work they get here as often as possible to visit friends and family in the area. Lanny is a government civilian working for the Navy, Sara is a physical therapist working for Sentara. They have grown children and grandchildren, and a spoiled rescue dog named Layla.

Fall leaf viewing is spectacular. Winter time activities include skiing at Massanutten (35 minutes) or Wintergreen Resort (1 hour) away. Our rates are reasonable and include the professional cleaning fee.
