Every now and then, go away, and have a little relaxation, for when you return to your work, your judgment will be surer.

Located on 5 acres of gorgeous hillside, you will have plenty of space to explore and enjoy the fresh mountain air in privacy. Get ready to take in clear night skies full of brilliant constellations from the patio or the swing in the front yard, whether it's a cold winter night or a fresh summer evening.

The Southern Comfort Cabin is fully equipped to be your home away from home. The kitchen is furnished with a refrigerator, oven, microwave, and various small appliances, and of course, all you need for coffee each morning. Enjoy your meals together around the dining room table, or take them to the patio for an epic barbecue with a spectacular view of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

After hiking Kennedy Peak Trailhead or enjoying a horseback ride in the Shenandoah Valley, decamp to the family room for a movie night. This comfy room includes a flat-screen TV with streaming access/WiFi, a Pac-Man machine, an electric fireplace, and a variety of board games.

If you need more adventures, canoe rentals, fishing, boating, tubing, golfing, and many more outdoor activities, including our private river lot, are all in close proximity.

Back at the cabin, pour some hot cocoa, and gather around the picnic table by the outdoor fireplace, looking at the expansive landscape.

With 2 bedrooms and one full bath, there is plenty of space for everyone to keep up with daily routines before enjoying multiple trails, a trip to the Shenandoah National Park, or the Luray Caverns.

For special occasions, such as vacations, birthdays, honeymoons, anniversaries, etc., upon request, we will make a rustic sign to hang in front of an old cabin (1947) located on the property so you can capture these special moments that last a lifetime.

Relaxing long weekend

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin near Luray. The accomodations were so well kept and clean! We were able to take in some hiking, some sights and good food not far from the house. Also we were able to just relax and read a book on the porch with the great view of the mountains. We highly recommend and would stay again!

Clean, comfortable cabin with awesome view! Spacious rooms (smaller kitchen), with huge room on first level, which we used minimally but would be great for large family. Host was helpful and welcoming! Had a relaxing stay!

With such a beautiful view, the cabin is located only 10 to 15 minutes from canoeing, hiking, horseback riding, 4-wheeler riding, the Dukes of Hazzard Museum, the Luray Caverns, downtown Luray, restaurants, and shopping.

Southern Comfort offers a private river lot in close proximity to the cabin, and you can enjoy or float to this lot from public river access. In addition to that, an old log cabin built in 1947 is located on the property and ready to explore. Our family room includes many games, such as a Pac-Man machine, cornhole, and a pool table for lots of family fun.
