Wolf Ridge Retreat is located at an elevation of almost 3300 feet and borders the Pisgah National Forest. We are located between Brevard and Cashiers in the Lake Toxaway Community, close to Highlands, Cashiers, Brevard and Asheville. We are a short drive from the Blue Ridge Parkway. This comfortable home is near Gorges State Park, Whitewater Falls, Schoolhouse Falls, Panthertown (the Yosemite of the East) and many other waterfalls and hiking trails. We are a short drive from the famous historical Greystone Inn with fine dining and beautiful views of Lake Toxaway. There are a number of other local restaurants to enjoy such as The Grand Olde Station, Los Vaqueros, Panthertown Cafe and Villa Amato. Come and relax at our comfortable, peaceful getaway in the Blue Ridge Mountains in the land of the waterfalls.

We felt very comfortable in this house! It was clean, warm and cozy. We cooked in each night and the kitchen was well-equipped. The temps were low so we couldn't hang out on the deck, but it was nice to see the sun setting over the mountains through the bare trees. Panthertown and Gorges State Park were within easy driving distance and we covered about 12 miles and saw 6 waterfalls over two days. Brook was an excellent host. Thank you!

Great Location for Waterfalls Hikes

We enjoyed our stay at Wolf Retreat. Great neighborhood - secluded and quiet, away from busy Hwy 64, but still convenient to get out to Hwy 281 / Canada Road to hit waterfalls on the north side of Lake Toxaway. Comfy beds, and nicely equipped house. Great communication throughout.

Great place to stay

Our family enjoyed staying at this house during our hiking trip. We enjoyed relaxing out on the back deck with our dog after a day out on the trails. It's in a very quiet area. We found that the house had everything we needed while there. We also like the location because it didn't take us long to get to Gorges State Park and Panthertown Valley (the house even has a map of the trails for Panthertown in the sunroom).

Charming Home

We absolutely loved this clean, perfectly situated country VRBO. Our host was so welcoming and accommodating. The property is very clean and well-stocked. This quiet neighborhood is pretty close to Gorges State Park and Brevard. We loved the nice big deck with plenty of seating. We brought our two Shih poo pups and they had plenty of yard to play in. The king-sized bed is super comfy. If you bring a lot of stuff there's an enormous amount of closet space. The host is fantastic and made us feel very welcome. Great experience!!
