As you enter through the front door with our keyless entry system, you find yourself in the light-filled living room with beautiful hardwood floors and gas stove fireplace. The couch folds out into a queen-size bed for guests needing extra room.
The dining room also has large windows letting ample light into the room. The table seats 4-5 and leaves are available. Right off the dining room is a well-appointed kitchen. Anything you may need for your travels is here waiting for you. Groceries are available two blocks west at the Orange Street Food Farm.
The bathroom features a shower and a beautiful clawfoot tub. It is a great place to unwind from the day with a glass of wine or spend a morning with coffee and a book. We are continually adding to our book collection from local Montana writers.
Upstairs are the two bedrooms. The first bedroom has a queen size bed, a large closet, and a small reading nook. Through the barn door is a smaller bedroom with two twin extra-long beds, a closet, and a reading nook. Enjoy views of the “M” while you cozy up with your favorite book.
Out the back door is a shared back yard that you are more than welcome to enjoy. There is a seating set set under a shade sail keeping you cool on hot summer days, and overhead lights creating a wonderful night time atmosphere. Also available is a gas heater to keep you warm on those colder nights. There is also a gas grill to cook your favorite summer meals on.
Please note that the smaller bedroom is located through the larger one and does not have a separate entrance. Both bedrooms are up stairs that may be an issue for guests with mobility concerns.

I had to come to Missoula to take care of my daughter that got really sick while at U of M and the 2 of us spent the week at this little cottage and everything was as advertised. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need and the location was very convenient. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
The location for this property in Missoula is great. The house was very well supplied, especially with the kitchen gadgets. Eric was easy to communicate with and was helpful.
We enjoyed our stay at this property. The outside was slightly rundown, but the interior was clean and thoughtfully updated. The only downside we noticed was the shared outdoor space seemed cluttered and uninviting.

Thank you for your honest review. We agree that our exterior was neglected for a long time before we bought it last year. Due to supply chain/worker shortage/etc., we couldn’t have the exterior painted last year, and after your stay, we were first on the painter’s list! The current exterior pictures in our listing show it’s beautiful new coat of Mill Springs Blue! We are smitten.
Early spring in Montana (March & April) can be challenging to coordinate yard cleanup activities. Snowstorms alternate with above freezing temperatures, causing the ground to become quite the mess with snow, melting snow, and frozen melted snow puddles. Add to that mess an odd fall where leaves throughout Missoula didn’t drop when expected for a normal city-wide pickup, causing it to be delayed, and immediately before a massive snowstorm. Four mature Maple trees, one mature Aspen, and two adolescent oaks adorn our property and we were unable to clean up all of their leaves before the snow came and stayed the first week of November. You may have seen us out getting the leaves raked up for the special leaf pick-up and street cleaning that was during your stay.
We have thankfully been able to prioritize our landscaping projects for our second summer of owning this special property. We planted sunflowers in the alleyway and in a refreshed bed that faces the apartment. We also added a seating area in the boulevard so guests could feel like they had a more reserved outdoor area for themselves.
The cottage is the perfect mix of nostalgic and modern. It felt roomy and open. The furnishings were comfortable and the host provided many thoughtful amenities. It was even close to old downtown.
What a nice little house in a quiet spot, but very walkable to downtown, the grocery store and the other little cafes in the neighborhood. Eric was a very great host and we were so glad we picked this place to stay. After 3 days we definitely wanted to stay for a few more. Thank you!
This home was exceptionally clean and comfortable and met our vacation needs very well. It is only a couple of blocks from The Hip Strip and has easy access to downtown Missoula. The owners live nearby and were available to answer questions and make sure we had everything we needed. The stairway to the bedroom(s) upstairs is quite steep, so this may not be the best fit for you if you have mobility issues, but the bed was comfortable, the kitchen is set up for any cooking you want to do, and the living room is cozy. We will definitely be back the next time we're in Missoula!
It was a very clean and orderly property. Mostly air conditioned.
Well appointed.
It is a small lot with no off street parking, but that was not an issue. The bathroom I had not realized was on the first floor, bedrooms on second. Not an issue short of the steep stairs in the middle of the night for us old guys.
Overall it was in a good location and perfectly acceptable VRBO
The communications with the host were clear and entry easy.
