This family-friendly Lake Arrowhead home tucked into the quiet Palisades is perfect for your next retreat! Just two miles away from downtown Lake Arrowhead and within walking distance to the lake and several shops and restaurants, you'll have plenty to explore. Spend mornings enjoying the South Shore Trail, accessible less than 1/4-mile from the cabin. In the afternoons, your comfortably furnished deck creates the perfect space for coffee or a cocktail with the entire group while the dog explores the fully enclosed yard.

Inside, you’ll find a modern-yet-characterful living area, with a cozy painted brick fireplace, rustic tongue and grove ceilings, and exposed wood beams. This newly remodeled space features all the modern necessities, including central AC, a gravity heater, and more. The chef will adore the open, gleaming kitchen, with hardwood cabinetry and new stainless steel appliances, and the whole family can grab a bite together at the adjacent table.

After days of adventure, spend evenings at home cozied up in front of the fireplace with some hot cocoa. Entertainment options include four streaming-capable TVs, free cable, and WiFi. Very clean. Nice location. The backyard was not as depicted in the photos. It unfortunately did not have grass, the grass was dead and there was sharp gravel rocks. We did not spend the time back there that I had intended. My 12 year old pup had a hard time navigating the rocks.

Great spring/summer experience

I spent a winter weekend here in February and it was a lovely experience. But going this past weekend (mid May) was also a whole different fun experience!! The weather was beautiful, cool and had a relaxing time playing games around the fire. The owner and Vacasa were so helpful anytime I needed anything. Will definitely do a girls trip here again (as well as family trips)!!!

Lovely Cabin :-)

This is a perfect home for a lake getaway!! It is charming + cozy with a perfect deck set up for soaking up the sun. The outdoor furniture is great for relaxing, dining al fresco, and even taking work calls! Super close to the lake which is an added plus! Also loved the wood carved chess board! Our dog enjoyed roaming the back yard as well :-) Can’t wait to return. *note: beware the hot water gets HOT!!

Towels and pillows had noticeable stains and short black hair on them (neither of us have this color), they turned thermostat down to below 55 in middle of the night, and lake arrowhead beach club passes did not scan so someone had to let us into the area. Other than that, the home was great.

This doesn't meet our standards, and we're sorry for the inconvenience. We've alerted our housekeeping team to prevent this from happening again. The heater is smart and must be set to lower during the nighttime. To have access to the lake, guests must first register with the local team their names and ages. Once guests' names have been input into the lake access website, the customer goes to the Lake association office, and purchases wristbands for everyone registered. Then they are given access instructions to the Lake. Your feedback is crucial, and we appreciate it. We truly hope to host you for a more comfortable stay in the future, thank you.

Before you book

This is a charming cottage, completely reconstructed after a house fire. Everything is new construction, kitchen and baths, flooring, siding, etc. I offer this feedback before you book. The "dog-friendly" yard is not fully fenced, so bring something to block escape to street. There is no BBQ grill, no toaster, and no coffee maker after I discovered theirs is not working, no bowls large enough to mix pancakes or salad or or serve vegetables. The water filter in fridge needs changing. Although Vacasa Mgmt was quick to respond to my texts about these things, nothing got resolved during my week-long stay. Bring your own pillows, theirs are all too-fat memory foam.

Beautiful set up, poor customer service

The cabin itself is nicely designed and has a beautiful patio and backyard. Unfortunately we encountered 2 issues. 1. Thermostat was initially placed too low that even using more blankets and wearing more clothes didn’t help much. When I messaged the assistant was ignorant with a reply nothing could be done. I guess our concern was voiced so the thermostat settings were changed remotely because it started blowing hot air almost non-stop and during the night. So we had to start opening windows, and all woke up with dry nose and eyes. Basically, sadly, no temperature balance was achieved. This madd this cozy cabin not more welcoming. Second issue was a request for late check out, I must’ve missed that it was supposed to be requested before 4 pm. In my opinion, if it is listed that property is not rented the day we leave, some efforts could’ve been done to make an exception. For example, contacting the owner. In addition this representatives have zero knowledge about the property. When asked where the trash bin located, the reply was: have you checked the property? And lastly, although we thought the cabin was clean, when we were making last check if we didn’t forget something, we looked under the beds. There are piles of dust and dust mites, which definitely saddened us a lot since we realized that we were breathing with that especially with the hot blowing air. Last statement has totally defeated the purpose of our vacation since we came for fresh air and got this…

Worst nightmare rental ever!

The property itself was fine. Every single issue we encountered, and they were horrific, was with the property management company, Vacasa. When we arrived, the master bedroom bed was neatly made. Upon pulling back the covers, both the flat and fitted sheet on the bed were covered top to bottom, side to side with a heavy layer of animal and human hair. Absolutely disgusting! One of the other rooms also had hair on the sheets and the sheets had a very foul smell. Our family wasn’t able to sleep in either of these beds. There was standing water that completely filled the sliding door track. There were dead flies and other insects floating in this yellowed water. The back yard had the metal deflector from the outdoor heater lying on the ground at the top of the deck steps where someone could have very easy been injured and cut. The outdoor fireplace had loose concrete material all around the top surface from what looked like where things had fallen on it and caused the breaks. We had reserved this property at premium holiday rates for four nights. Due to the uninhabitable nature of the property, we left early the following morning. We would have left the evening we arrived, but did not want to drive in the heavy fog again. Attempts to communicate with Vacasa have fallen upon deaf ears and they have been very evasive. I will no need to pursue further actions on my side. Literally the worst experience ever. If you see a listing managed by Vacasa, run away!
