**The space**

Our newly renovated home is a unique, cozy and peaceful oasis. We are off the beaten path with 5 acres of beautiful land to explore and admire, yet only a short 10-12 minute drive into the city of Springfield. The home is approximately 1700sqft and can accommodate 5-6 people comfortably.

The home has 2 bedrooms that have queen sized beds and en-suite bathrooms with full tub showers. The third bedroom has a full bed, and there is one powder room (half bath).

When you step through the front door, you’ll be awed by the unique octagon/dome shape, unlike any other home in the area. The space is open and spacious, with a large kitchen complete with full sized refrigerator, microwave, electric range stove and dishwasher. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would need to create your favorite meals and serve your guests. We have a dining table that seats 6 as, well as the star of the room, the antique island in the kitchen with three stools for more seating at mealtime. This island we custom made, from an antique bar, added beautiful spaulding maple butcher block. You’ll love the living space with a comfortable sectional couch, mounted flat screen tv with access to Netflix (and other streaming services). While the couch is not a pull-out bed, we find very comfortable for a guest to sleep on at night. Help yourself to any of the books on our shelf! You’ll appreciate the spacious laundry room with washer/dryer and complementary detergent and fabric softener. We even have a pre-wash stain remover - just in case! An iron and ironing board will be available for you to use. We also have cleaning supplies just in case of any accidents that cannot wait for the cleaners to come. Two bedrooms (one en-suite, one stand alone) and a powder room round out the domed living space. We have a backyard deck for you to enjoy - feel free to use our grill and have a family cookout! You’ll find a walkway leading from the dome to our master suite. Within that space we’ve got two accent chairs and a table - a perfect place to enjoy morning coffee as you look out the floor-to-ceiling windows and take in the beauty of the surrounding woods. You’ll see two barn doors welcoming you to the master suite. Relax away from the rest of the group in your own private wing (which also has a tv) and enjoy an additional outdoor patio off your room.

Just so that you’re never without what you need, we are happy to supply shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, body soap, hand soap, body lotion, toothbrushes, toothpaste, towels, and toilet paper. Our kitchen will have regular dip coffee. Help yourself to our stash of healthy energy drinks, protein bars and bottled water - in case you need to grab something on the go.

Our water comes straight from the local well - the best and most pure water to drink. No water filters needed!


There is a fire pit, with wood for your use down by the well house in the front yard.
We also have corn hole (bag toss), in the front closet as well as a card table and a few board games.

One of our favorite things about this house is how much natural light comes in from all the windows - which also offer fantastic views of the beautiful grounds that surround the property.

Should you be an adventurous spirit, a nature lover, or just looking to explore/take in the great outdoors, we are only a few minutes drive to the beautiful Fellows Lake (read more about Fellows Lake under the ‘location’ description).

The property has a gravel driveway, with a paved pad near the house with enough room for plenty of cars. The garage, however, is off limits.

We have installed keyless entry for your convenience and ease. Our property has security cameras surrounding the outside premises for your protection and safety. Rest assured, there are no camera inside.
Guest access
You will have full access to the entire home, all outdoor patios, driveway, and yard space (including the wooded area behind the house).

The garage and the work shed are off-limits.
Other things to note
We are not local, but are readily available via phone, text or email. We have a property manager in the area that can step in should there be any emergencies or situations needing immediate presence or assistance.
