After managing one of Merida's most booked rental villas for the past several years, Casa Escalera al Cielo - we decided to acquire the neighboring property to allow more guest the opportunity to stay in such an amazing location across from one of Merida's most beautiful church and park squares. These properties are the ONLY residential short term rentals that are located directly across from ANY of Merida's centro churches and squares! La Ermita Suites have been updated to U.S. standards and plumbing to allow the conviences of home while traveling abroad. This apartment is a single level home with 2 queen beds that will allow up to 4 guest to rest and relax comfortably. Enjoy the rear private courtyard in the morning as sip your first cup of coffee under the palms. This home is equipped with air conditioning to make sure you enjoy your time in the Yucatan and beat the heat! For those of us who need stay connected to reality, WiFi is provided so you can stay up to date or turn on the 55 inch smart TV and catch the latest show on your Netflix account. La Ermita is often used as a natural background in the film industry. The popular Mexican Novela, “Abismo De Pasion” was filmed regularly just out the front door. Now, for the first time in over a century, "The Suites" are available to be enjoyed as a vacation retreat. From the moment you drive up the cobble stone street in front of one of Merida’s historic churches - you know you are staying somewhere truly special!

What makes this property unique

This apartment is approx. 750 sq feet with it's own private front entry. The unit has been remodeled to U.S. specs so you can enjoy the simple things - like flushing toilet paper down the toilet! You also have your own private rear courtyard to enjoy the outdoors. Behind your private and gated backyard you have access to a shared laundry area that you can use to wash your clothes.
