John's condo was exactly as pictured and described. It was furnished nicely for 2 people and the updates were appreciated. We enjoyed the pool and would rent this condo again.
My husband and I stayed at this condo for several weeks while our home was being remodeled. John was very responsive and helpful from answering questions before we booked and throughout our stay. The kitchen and bathroom have recently been remodeled with new appliances. It was especially nice to have a double sink vanity in the bathroom and the essential washer and dryer since we had a long term stay. The condo is located in a great location in Charlotte. It is very close to upscale shopping and also to downtown Charlotte. It is really easy to get almost anywhere in the Charlotte area from this location. We are very thankful to John for being a great host!
The owner was great w communication & the location was good for us. I rated it a 3 because there was a strong odor inside - seemed like someone may have smoked there at some point? That did not dissipate. Also we were kept awake by the occupants’ every footstep above the bedroom ceiling. Very loud & creaky. We heard their rap music also. Finally, we suggest blackout shades in the bedroom. Even with the wooden slats as closed as they would go, we were also kept awake by the bright yellow streetlight shining through.
Condo is in a great location in Charlotte and overall was everything I needed. I locked myself out but owner helped me out to get back in immediately, which was a relief, but also a reason an electronic keypad needs to be installed so you don’t have to mess with keys. It is updated but there are damaged walls and door casings. I agree with other review that there was an odd smell inside. Air fresheners were in the outlets which made it kind of worse. The blinds also need to be replaced. I had to hang a sheet over the bedroom window in order to be to sleep. I also was woken up at about 5 am by upstairs neighbors. They were times they were loud but fortunately it was only two or three times for about 5-10 minutes at a time. I did also have to figure out where the coffee machine was as it was not in the kitchen. I found it on the top shelf of the pantry and had to clean it out as it was dirty. The kitchen could also be stocked better but not a big deal. Last thing to know is the unit was hard to find at first. I arrived at night and could not see anything from the parking lot. There are no lights on the buildings over the signs showing the units.
