Everything was perfect! We brought our boat and went out every day for fishing and tubing, so the boat dock and lift made it so easy. Check-in was super easy and the house was clean and welcoming. We have family in Rhome, TX, so we hope to stay there again soon!

We absolutely loved this place!! I will say the only issues is be prepared for a haul up and down to the dock, make sure you bring proper shoes so you don’t slip. But this house was perfect for our group. We are already talking about coming back! Thank you for the beautiful home! Best trip!!

Why they chose this property

We have lovingly and thoughtfully restored this 1945 farmhouse in 2021-2022. We invite you to enjoy the cozy, relaxing interior and the quiet, tranquil exterior. We fell in love with this property because of the peaceful, natural setting. The grounds surrounding the property are purposely not overly manicured, as we prefer to preserve the natural grasses and growth for the native wildlife. The wildflowers in the spring are absolutely gorgeous, the lake offers endless fun in the summer, and leaves and sunsets in the fall are picture worthy. We always enjoy watching the deer that frequent the property morning and evening. The lot is lakefront and sits high above the water offering spectacular views; however, the very rustic path down to the lake is steep and uneven.

What makes this property unique

Deer Hollow's location is absolutely perfect for enjoying hiking, dining, shopping, and events on the west side of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Eagle Mountain Lake hiking trails are a short 6 minute drive. The Fort Worth Stockyards are just 30 minutes away, as is one of our personal favorites - Lonesome Dove Bistro. To the north, and just over 30 minutes away, is the Tanger Outlets offering great outlet shopping. Texas Motor Speedway is a 30-40 minute drive for our racing enthusiast friends. To the south, the Forth Worth Museum of Science & History is approximately 30 minutes and the Fort Worth Zoo is approximately 40 minutes away. There's so much to explore in the Fort Worth area, this is just a small sampling to get your creative ideas flowing.
