About this property

You will be staying at the end of a private country road surrounded by nature. There is no traffic or noise. You will hear birds, goats, chickens, ducks, and horses during the day. At night, you will hear the sound of crickets and owls. The stars are bright at night. If you are lucky enough to stay during a full moon, you will be in for a real treat. The moon lights up the pasture with a silver light, and the animals' coats shimmer in that light. Feel free to walk the property and play with the goats or pet the horses. You will be staying in a very private sanctuary. We are 7 minutes from downtown Brooksville and less than 15 minutes from the major shopping area in Spring Hill on SR 50 (Cortez Blvd). Our location is perfect if you are visiting family locally or if you just want to get out of the overcrowded suburban sprawl. We the are 1 mile from the White Farm wedding venue.

Beautiful

It was a beautiful and relaxing place to stay. The owners of the property are very kind. The animals are all sweet and if we’re ever in that part of Florida again, we will stay here.

Nice and quiet

The space was very clean. Quiet and peaceful. The sweet animals make it extra nice and fun to interact with. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area.

Great Weekend

Mark and Lydia's place is top notch! the place is very clean and has everything you need for comfort. Getting to feed and interact with all of their animals (pets) is awesome!! You will not be disappointed!

Comfortable space

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights, although we would have loved to stay longer. The house was very clean and stocked with everything we needed. Check in process was simple and communication was great. We enjoyed our morning coffee with the goats and visiting with the donkey and horses. We loved how peaceful it was outside at night. I would definitely recommend.

MarLy farm is name after Mark and Lydia. We moved to suburban Florida from NYC in 2002 in the wake of 911. We now consider ourselves Floridians. We purchased this property in 2018 and converted one of the detached buildings into a cottage in 2021. We originally built if for family to come visit, but the space is so comfortable that we thought we would list it as a rental cottage.

Why they chose this property

We have had people from all walks of life stay here for various reasons. One of our first clients was a student doing a 5 week rotation at a local hospital. We have had people stay here while their house construction was being completed. We have had full-time travelers who work remotely, folks visiting family and people who just wanted a weekend outside of the hustle and bustle of their home town. We had a film crew that was doing a documentary on the mermaids of Weeki Wachee. We have have bridal parties getting make up done and brides and grooms after their wedding. Who knew we would get such an interesting group of clients?
