Bright, clean, convenient location in the Highlands community of Boise.
Easy access to Hyde Park for great food and coffee. Walkable to city parks and hiking trails. Would stay here again.
PROsvery close to 13th st large incl lots of storage CONs:horrible smell (mold/musty) took 3 days of windows open to become barely bearable, but even then clothes n belongings took on the musty smell (people commented when giving hugs)internet horrible - no way to do things like zoom or regular internet things, even watching shows on the tv provided was difficult or impossible)very steep entrance stairs full kitchen but no knives or cutting boards to actually cooktried to clarify re dogs with hosts and never heard back some large dogs pooped on the lawn n it was there for days can really hear the upstairs neighbors too bad because the neighborhood was darling
Great property! Clean, convenient, and excellent communication with the owner. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to friends in future!
everything about the place/location is awesome. Only thing i will say is that the drain on the bathtub is very slow/ clogged. Taking a shower becomes a bath.
Clean, easy check in/out, quick message replies. Had difficulty locking the door when leaving, was told would lock automatically but it never did. Could hear the other guests upstairs which made it a bit difficult to fall asleep some nights.
Location is perfect for walking to Hyde Park and a bit further for downtown. Laundry facilities were an added plus since we stayed for a bit over a week. Internet had a few issues three mornings but was able to connect through my own phone and internet service returned in the afternoon. A few outlets were not working perhaps due to age of building or nearby construction but we had plenty of outlets to choose from to find working ones. Thank you for a delightful place to stay.
It was not very clean. Floors, shower, bedspread, and rugs have not been cleaned in a long time. Unable to use internet or TV the entire stay. Internet service would not stay connected-needs a boost for the router. Cell service poor as well, but understandable for a basement. Amenities are good - towels, dishes, pots and pans, etc.
Perfect size place for a dad visiting his daughter. Comfortable, nicely situated close to things we did and enjoyed, easy check-in/out. The updated remodel is classy and well thought out. Great place to stay!!
2 things that rubbed the wrong way: the cleaning fee for such a small space was out of alignment from other places I’ve stayed. That said, most of the cleaning was well done, except for all the dog hair that was left behind. Tufts if white hair around the edges of the living room and couch, much of which stuck to my socks.
The second item was the on-going construction in the basement and bungalow behind our space. A heads-up would have been good rather than finding out from the sounds of power tools around 8 o’clock each morning.
Overall, a 4.5 out of 5. I will use this location again when I visit my daughter.
This property location is near perfection. The neighborhood is delightful. It's a short walk to restaurants, bars, shops and walking trails. We could not have been more pleased with the location. The little apartment was advertised as a downstairs apartment. I am from the deep south. In my world a downstairs apartment is not underground, it's just downstairs! It was depressing not to be able to see out, especially in such a pretty area. The windows are normal size and do let in plenty of light, but all you see outside is the ground. The apartment had been cleaned, but, more attention to detail is definitely needed. The drawers and floors in the closet storage areas were old and dingy, and most drawers had no liners, just raw rough plywood. There were only old wire hangers in the closets as well. The kitchenware was minimal, but the kitchen was clean and nice. The host and I got off on the wrong foot because we were late (just after midnight) coming home one evening and the keypad was dead. I had no choice but to call and wake her to be able to get inside. She misunderstood which property I was in and argued with me about the issue; however we finally understood each other, and got into the unit. Later in our stay, at my request she moved us to an upstairs apartment, which was so much better!!I wouldn't stay at this particular unit again simply because personally, I didn't like being in the basement. I think it should be advertised as a basement apartment.
