Adventure awaits at this renovated family- and dog-friendly home, tucked into a private, tree-lined lot and offering easy access to year-round outdoor fun. Spend summer days exploring famous Quechee Gorge, around two miles away, or hiking, mountain biking, golfing, fishing, or river tubing the nearby Ottauquechee River. Winters turn the area into a snowy wonderland, with the slopes at Ski Quechee just two miles away.

At home, you can enjoy the scenery and peaceful wooded area all around you from the screened porch or open deck while sipping your morning coffee or an evening cocktail. Inside, you’ll find warm hardwood floors, a new, upgraded kitchen, and cozy fieldstone fireplace. Don your chef’s hat and step into the kitchen to delight the group with family favorites, prepared with the help of a full suite of appliances and tons of counter space, including a standalone island. Sit down for a meal together in the formal dining room, then head out for a day of exploration.

When you return, get the wood-burning fireplace crackling to increase the cozy factor while you stream the latest release. Toss the day’s clothes in the washer/dryer for a quick refresh and use the free WiFi to check up on social media or grab a board game to unplug entirely. Sleep will come easy in any of three well-appointed bedrooms. No matter what you’ve come for - breathtaking mountains, rivers, lakes, or gorges - you’ll find them at Willard Road Hideaway!

Nice house, good location, but beware of a hidden requirement
The house was nice, clean, and in a good location. The problem I had was there was snow in the driveway when we arrived and the driveway wasn't plowed. The driveway is uphill to the house and our cars were getting stuck trying to get up to the top. I called the host to report that the driveway needed to be plowed and I was told that they do not plow the drive. They said yard work and light maintenance were the responsibility of the renter. I contacted VRBO and the host still refused to plow. I explained that the listing did not disclose that plowing was the responsibility of the renter and then threatened to get my attorney involved. They decided to plow the driveway. Be sure you understand the terms before renting.

We enjoyed our stay. It is a beautiful property. The only complaint I have is the TV did not have any good channels. No news channels not cable etc..

Weekend getaway
We try to get to Vermont every month. I’m from there and it means a lot to get back to my home state. I pick different locations each time so we can learn more about the various areas of the state. I honestly have never spent any time in Quechee or Woodstock. The house is in a perfect location for both. It’s in a very quiet area and convenient to stores and restaurants. The house itself is bigger than I expected with plenty of bedrooms if you’re bringing your family. The kitchen is well appointed although we are coffee drinkers and the mugs were cups, not mugs. I would recommend the owners get some good size mugs for the coffee and tea drinkers. It was a Vacasa managed property so the check in and out makes it very easy.

Good value
Good house in a good location. Downsides are no screens on windows, beds are not very comfortable and seating in the living room could be better. Overall a good house to rent.

great location/cute house
Pros: I love the area the house is located in. The house was cute, with a lot of rooms. The house was clean. The rooms were spacious. Cons: There were a ton of spiders everywhere in the house. While the house is set back from the road (which is cool), you can easily miss the driveway to the home entrance, especially when the daytime light is gone. _____________________________________________________________________________ A nice house that has been lived in. I would have given it more stars, but the spiders got me. (if you are ok with those, then this house is great)
