"The Aquarium of the World" - Paraiso del Mar C403 - 2 BR/3 BATH - on the Beach

As owners, we are really sorry that the guests didn’t get the experience they expected! I would like to address all things mentioned. We arrived right after the guests checked out and have stayed here for almost two weeks now. First, the location: We are a 30-min trip away from La Paz downtown, so you have to plan for extra time to go shopping – it’s a very small trade-off for the one-of-a-kind location and beach! It’s in the listing description and in the information file that we send to guests. I must say that the guests didn’t communicate with us, no questions were asked and they didn’t contact us during the stay. Second, the resort: it’s in Mexico! And it’s a condominium resort, not a hotel. Things are often done differently here than in the US, all service is done by locals. The stuff is nice and helpful and they will usually address the problem if it’s something outside of the condominium rules. One has to be patient and polite to get things done, it takes more time, it’s a different culture. In the almost two weeks that we are here, we haven’t had any problems with noise or barking or smoking. Even during the busy Thanksgiving weekend, the pool parties wrapped up right after 10 pm. Many condominiums use their restaurants or pool areas for their meetings, sorry that it happened during your stay, but it can happen anywhere. Bug are also common in La Paz. I can see that there was a bug spray in the condo, and our small store sells one too. By renting a condo, one must be ready that it’s a shared environment and that things can happen that are out of our control and unplanned. Third, about the things in the condo, sorry for the missing bath plug! We ask all guests in writing to please tell us or our on-site manager right away if you need anything. It could have been delivered right away, as our manager is on site 7 days a week. We do have colanders, 4 frying pans and 7 pots of different sizes, not sure what the guests lacked. We replaced the outside table and chairs with new ones, but we kept two soft arm chairs – the guests could simply use them. The two arm chairs from another balcony were moved inside the condo for the hurricane and winter season, but could be easily moved out as needed. Since only two people (a couple) was staying, the cleaners didn’t move them out and left inside the second bedroom. We like our furniture and beds on the firmer side, and most of our guests are happy with it. Our photos show that there is no art on the walls so that should not have come as a surprise. We recently found art canvases that we loved and we are expecting their delivery this coming Monday. Many happy guests keep returning to our resort and to our condo, but it’s not for everyone. I hope this information will make the expectations more realistic.

Dear Eduardo! Thank you very much for the great review! We are happy that you liked our place, it's really special! I am providing the English translation here by google translator. Excellent, My wife, my 2 children and I had an excellent vacation, the condominium complex, the horseshoe where we stayed were very nice, a swimming pool and excellent green areas, the beach looks more like a pool practically without waves, the C403 condo perfect with everything that we need, very, very spacious and pleasant. Mrs. Maude is an excellent person, the drivers of the van to go and come to the pier to take the small boat that transports one to the Marina are very attentive, the small shop, stocked with the indispensable, such as snacks, soda, etc. to spend a nice afternoon in the pool, in the cd, in La Paz, very good seafood restaurants. All in all as I said before everything was excellent, and condo C403 is HIGHLY RECOMMENDABLE.

I am happy that you liked everything and I thank you for a nice review! I was hoping that our place would get 5 stars, because the fact that it was difficult for you to shuttle with kids was a personal circumstance, especially given that one child was sick. The shuttle and the boat rides are very enjoyable, and especially so for kids. It's like having a free attraction ride. We had many families with children staying and they all say that it's a safe and fun place for kids and the parents can relax. Just look at the photo of the baby turtles released by happy families!
