Peace

The house fulfilled all our expectations and then some. Our host thought of every acommodation from the front porch, kitchen, bathrooms to living areas. We needed for nothing.

Your host

Hi, I am an Interior Designer that saw this home and fell in love with it. I love photography and nature and sharing good things with anyone. I have 2 children in college (not UVA) but I do get to see them once in a while.

Why they chose this property

When I purchased this home, it had not had any updates since it was built in 1978. I installed new HVAC (was baseboard heat and no ac), and mini splits in the basement. I made the basement a place where my son could escape to, and he didn't have to be bothered by me. I refinished the hardwoods upstairs with new flooring throughout the rest of the home. I installed gas just for the stove (I love to only cook with gas). Every surface in this home has been touched with love. I had a fire pit installed just to find a place to kick back at night and know that friends can gather around it. My goal with this home is for it to feel like the low end of luxury and still stay within budget. I love low maintenance but tasteful and useful.

What makes this property unique

The items within this home that are somewhat unique are you have neighbors but they aren't close enough to know your business. You don't have to use blinds (no one to look in), upgraded mattresses, Master has a sleep number. Upgraded linens (I'm picky and I will pass that on to you). Handheld shower head in both bathrooms. Higher counters in bathrooms and higher toilets. Chairs that recline but don't look like barcaloungers . Gourmet kitchen for those that like to cook. And we are next door to an amazing distillery with fantastic views.
