This beachside gem in Beacon Villas is part of the private Corolla Light Resort, providing access to premier amenities that are included within your stay. Enjoy a day at the beach, or at the oceanside, sound side and indoor pools. Take advantage of the private walking and biking paths and fitness center with lots of recreational and sporting activities.

About the house:
A Reel Keeper has 4 bedrooms all with their own private bathroom and an open main level, great for friendly gatherings. We provide everything you need to feel like you are at your home away from home! You will have a stocked kitchen, outdoor and indoor games, grill, fire pit seating area, private hot tub, and game room with wet bar.
Carport has 4 spots for cars, one spot occupies a ping pong table that can be folded up, but prefer to keep in place. There are 6 guest spots available nearby, <100 feet away.

*Weekly stays are Friday to Friday. We promise you that this will enable you to avoid OBX traffic and enhance your OBX experience.*

*Linens (bed linens not towels) are provided with your stay, one less thing to pack :) If you would also like to order bath towels and beach towels, at an extra fee, please contact Jessica and she will place your order so they are at the home when you arrive for your vacation!*

Complimentary while staying within the 240 acre Corolla Light Resort, you can park your vehicle in the carport and leave it there for your entire stay!
During the summer (Memorial Day- Labor Day), a community trolley runs throughout the day. Take a quick trolley ride over to the oceanfront complex, where your family can spend the entire day with three outdoor pools, easy access to the beach, two playgrounds, shuffleboard, basketball, volleyball, tennis and pickle ball courts, as well as, food and beverages from the Oceanfront Grille. Head over to the soundside complex for a workout in the fitness center, swim in the Olympic sized indoor pool or a walk through the nature trails along the sound. Golfers can take advantage of preferred rates at The Pointe Golf Club, Carolina Club, Sea Scape Golf Links, and The Currituck Club. Refer to website for details!

During the off-season, you still have access to all amenities, just note that not all amenities are open year round. Always access to sports complex with olympic pool, fitness center, ping pong and indoor tennis, as well as the playgrounds, outdoor basketball courts, shuffleboard, volleyball, tennis and pickle ball courts.

What a wonderful getaway!

We had such a wonderful stay! The host gave great details before and at the end of our trip. From the moment we walked in we felt at home. All of the great amenities were a plus for my family. We would definitely stay again!!! Thank you for making your place feel like home for us.

Amazing holiday vacation!

We can only say non-stop great things about this beautiful vacation home from the variety of activities they offer (ping pong, bikes, darts, fishing poles, fire pit, hot tub, board games) to the best stocked kitchen we have seen! House is so clean, spacious, and welcoming. Loved the short walk to the beach, sound side, and the Whalehead Club. Jessica is absolutely the BEST host and loved all the great communication. Thank you so much for welcoming us into your home. Happy New Year!

It's about the little things

We had a great time here. The host is very communicative and the house is updated, clean, plenty of space for everyone, and has plenty of amenities - games, activities for toddlers, outdoor equipment. The kitchen is VERY well stocked, had everything we needed for a full Thanksgiving dinner. There were a lot of little things that made our stay easy - like the host not leaving us with single ply toilet paper, stocking plenty of kitchen utensils and appliances, and giving us plenty of info ahead of time. We'd love to stay again!

Amazing stay, truly a home away from home!

My family and I had an amazing stay at A Reel Keeper. Truly our home away from home. The house had everything you could possibly need. Don’t feel like eating out every night? Well that’s no problem as the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you would need to prepare a home cooked meal. Bored on a rainy day? Again, no problem as there were a variety of things to keep everybody entertained such as board games, game consoles and yard games. A Reel Keeper is a beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean, fully furnished and equipped duplex located within the Corolla Light Resort, which was perfect for my family. This lovely property will suit the needs of any family or business traveler, Jess really thought of everything! There were many amenities that we did not take advantage of such as the bikes, the hot tub and ping pong table. The house is conveniently located and the beach, sports complex, pool and restaurants are just a short drive/shuttle ride away. On a side note, there is no need to bring your own beach accessories. Jess generously provides beach chairs, toys and even a wagon! Timbuk II is also nearby for additional shopping and dining options. Lastly, your hostess Jess is the epitome of hostesses. From the time I first inquired about the rental property, to throughout our stay and to the end of our trip she has been such a pleasure to communicate with. She is easily available through the VRBO app. Look no further, this is the place you want to book.

Hi :) I am Jess, and I am the property manager for A Reel Keeper. I am 34 years old with 3 kids; 2 girls and a boy, all under the age of 5. I am very easy to get a hold of and communicate with, which will easy your booking process and rental experience overall. My Dad and I bought this home together to be able to make memories of our own and share it with you to make your own memories. We really enjoy sharing our home with you and making sure that your vacation/stay/experience is the absolute best.

Why they chose this property

Prior to this beach house, we owned and managed a lake front home on Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia. We are proud to say that we had 146- five star ratings, many of which mentioned the ease of communication and responsiveness that enabled a stress-free booking process. Most importantly, guests felt that "the owners have thought of everything". Everyone felt like they were at home and that we, as the owners, provided most everything they needed for their stay. This is our mission with this beachside home as well. We hope that you choose to stay at A Reel Keeper and feel like you are at your home away from home.

What makes this property unique

This home is not only walking distance (less than a 5 minute walk (without toddlers-haha)) to both the beach and the sound. It is located within the award-winning Corolla Light Resort, offering numerous amounts of amenities. These amenities are included within you rental cost, no additional fees, and for your use as much as you want. The amenities offered are not like any other within Corolla. This is one of the reasons that we chose this villa for our next vacation home. As a family, we like to have fun, find adventures, and relax a little, and this beachside villa has it all!
