About this property
#1 The Lodge @ The Cottages on Petite Lake
This beautiful and spacious lakefront lodge has views, charm, and wonderful amenities. The original cypress wood walls fill The Lodge with old cottage charm that has been blended with modern amenities. It's a classic lake house directly on the water with a hot tub- you can't get any closer!
The property boasts four bedrooms, two full bathrooms with stand up showers, and has space to sleep 10-12 guests. The bedrooms arrangements are:
Bedroom 1- king bed + queen sleeper sofa
Bedroom 2- queen bed + twin-over-full bunk
Bedroom 3- queen bed
Bedroom 4- queen bed
*There are four couches in the great room and three twin rollaway beds that can be moved into any room or the common area. Please note that they are not the most cushioned or comfortable for adults- they are primarily used for children. Air mattress available upon request.
Two large seating areas in the great room provide plenty of seating and comfort for everyone! One pit of couches sits in front of a large flat screen smart TV for you to login to all of your applications. Another pit of sofas sits in front of a real wood-burning fireplace. Firewood delivery available or you can bring your own.
Just steps outside the sliding glass door is access to the beach and all of the free amenities: kayaks, paddle boards, canoes, floating picnics table, water volleyball, piers (fishing allowed), the beach, and lots of floats. Use of the rooftop deck above the lodge is also free along with the little tree library, herb garden, and more.
A new high-performance Lowe Tritoon boat is available for rental as well. Reach out for more info!
Important things to note:
*The hot tub is available year round!
*We are in nature. Expect spiders, webs, ants, bees, mosquitoes or other usual lake house critters. Be prepared to see chipmunks, squirrels and bunnies around and wake up to the birds chirping, too!
*The beach and The Lodge are accessed by a large set of outdoor stairs- about 35. See photos for reference.
*There are security cameras on the parking lot, beach and piers for safety and rental boat purposes. No cameras are on/in any of the rentals or the outdoor yard spaces.
*The pier is made up of floating docks and can be wobbly when the lake is busy. The lake is much busier on the weekends and more calm on weekdays.
*The rooftop deck above The Lodge is a shared space, unless rented privately. The blue deck attached to The Lodge is private.
*This is a no pets property. See our listings, Bluff House, The Yellow Cottage, The Coral Cottage, The Blue Roof Cottage or The Cozy Crooked Cottage, for pet friendly options!

Group of 6 adults, one teen and 4 kids 3-7 yrs old. This location had everything we needed, beach right there. Boat to rent. Perfect temperature water. And great hosts. We hope to be back next year!
Overall a very nice stay. House had plenty of room for our family of 11 people. The kitchen was well stock and allowed us to make meals. The house has 2 really big bedrooms and 2 small bedrooms. Overall it was perfect for us. We did not use the private deck or beach as weather was not good being early May.
Had everything we needed and a gorgeous view of the lake, right on the water. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well appointed, big and comfortable gathering area. The layout was a bit unorthodox. The bathrooms were not convenient to the bedrooms, the steam feature of the steam showers did not function.
Sandy feet. Boating. Bonfires. Fishing. Lazy summer days. Picnics. Simple and charming cottages. A return to the old school family vacation. A perfect retreat to escape the daily grind and a place to unwind with family or friends. This is our vision for The Cottages on Petite Lake.
On any given day, you’ll find David, his daughter Jessica or staff around the property restoring this quirky, charming cottage resort. Most were built in the early 1900s. Ten have been fixed up including the houseboat, a tiny house, the big lodge, and a yacht.
A labor of love, The Cottages on Petite Lake is the Chiesa family’s passion to serve the community by providing a retreat from the busy world we live in so guests can connect with themselves and each other while enjoying the outdoors.
Located on Petite Lake, this adorable house is on the Cottages on Petite Lake property with access to boats, swimming, fishing, and beautiful morning sunrises.
Each cottage has a private fire pit, propane grill (we provide the gas!), and outdoor sitting and dining space. We have firewood available for delivery (cash, Zelle or Venmo accepted) or you can bring your own!
We have kayaks, paddle boards, canoes, a floating picnic table, water volleyball, floats and beach toys available (free - first come first serve). There is also a large rooftop deck, picnic area and fun community feel! The beach and rooftop are private to the seven cottages on the property.
We have a beautiful pontoon boat available for rent separately.
