We stayed here for our annual fantasy baseball auction. The upstairs was an excellent space for a get together. Great lighting and comfortable furniture. Nice bedrooms and plenty of televisions. Some good space outside for having a catch.
Host was easy to work with. Everyone raved about how nice it was.
The house is massive. The kitchen is updated and had plenty of room to prepare food as well as to eat. The house was spacious enough for multi generations to have separate areas to interact as well as come together.
Outside was a pleasant area to sit, chat and cook even though it was a crisp spring day
Everyone loved it
This mansion was able to accommodate the sleeping arrangements of our family who wanted to gather for Christmas!
The home had decor set up and we were able to play board games, listen to music, relax in our rooms and on any of the three available levels.
We were safe and enclosed and there was extra parking available on the street.
We were able to cook our full Christmas meal as there were two kitchens. One of the first level and one on the third level in the penthouse. The layout was such a surprise and very open in the third level.
There were many televisions. One tv in the penthouse was unable to project sound and the tv in the suite connected to the jacuzzi had no signal. Other than that, we had everything we needed. If you stay longer than two days, I suggest bringing extra paper towels, toilet tissue, garbage bags, etc. We discarded a lot of trash from boxes and items that were used from our grocery store purchases.
Great place to have a wedding, family reunion, holiday gathering, repass, or getaway.
The house is beautiful. Perfect for our needs. Concerned that all exits but one were non-functioning. Had trouble with the alarm system. Police came twice during our stay. Host gave us the alarm code after we contacted them about the problem but the alarm was still going off with the police. Many light bulbs need replaced. Just a small issue. Had a great weekend.

The house itself is absolutely charming! We loved the many bedrooms, the large third floor for gathering, and the two kitchens. We had 20 people, and the only time it ever felt crowded was when everyone gathered in the kitchen to serve dinner. For those reasons, I want to give it 5 stars, but we had struggles with wifi access, responsiveness to time sensitive questions, and some things in the house didn't work as needed.

We had a group of 23 people, including 11 children aged 6 months to 13 years. Bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen were excellent for our needs. The dining area and sitting areas were too small for us, but we were able to work around that.We had serious safety concerns on our first night, regarding emergency exits and exposed electrical wiring. We could only find one working exit door to the entire house. In response to our request for help, the hosts explained that the doors labeled "DO NOT ENTER" could be used as emergency exits, and that the front door, though stiff, could be opened. They did not address our concerns about exposed electrical wiring, but instead suggested that I was trying to get a discount from them, and that I should police my children better. After this response we chose to handle the electrical safety concerns ourselves and at our own expense. These safety concerns could have been avoided if the hosts or their handyman did a thorough walk-through inspection before our arrival, and labelled the emergency exits.
This house was amazing! Beautiful, held on to its historic roots. However, there were a number of issues with the people clean and maintain the house between guests. We have stayed at many houses and have never had these issues. -Dishwasher was full (but clean) when we arrived-Dishwasher pod container was empty- we had to buy our own for the stay. -There were no trash bags other than in the can. We had to dump the trash can into the big can and keep using the same bag. -There were trash and other things in the drawers. There was a wedding itinerary in the top drawer of the primary bathroom from November. There was an empty Coke bottle in a dresser. -The toilet paper rolls were used (which was fine) but there were not any more rolls. We had to buy our own toilet paper for the stay. —One bathroom had zero toilet paper at all. -Two bathrooms did not have any type of trashcan. Overall, the place was beautiful. The maintenance/cleaning team needs to do a better job and make sure things are stocked.
This place is huge!! There are so many sitting areas, but our family seemed to mainly hang out in the kitchen and front room. We loved the oven as it baked things quickly and had 3 shelves that helped get everything done at the same time. Everyone was able to have their own bed or futon. We had to search for futon sheets, but found them in the bunk room. We were also able to find the stockpiles of extra pillows in closets. We used our washcloths as a bath mat on the third floor bathroom, but could have used the one out of the tub room as no one used that. There was coffee for the Kurig and we also brought some. There were paper towels, toilet paper, some spices and oil and sugar and a few food things left there which was great when I found that I had under measured my sugar for my coffee cake. Overall it was a beautiful place and nostalgic with the Jack and Jill style bathrooms. We even had a delivery of fresh peonies from the owner who was awesome! The only tough part for us was some loud music being played and the sounds of traffic and sirens at night. City people may not even notice, but we all live in the middle of nowhere so we just turned up our TV's and fans. It was a great stay with beautiful stained glass and a mix of old and new style switches that had a learning curve, but were really neat. Thanks again!!Mackenzie
This place was great for our reunion of college friends and their families. There were lots of places for adults to gather and kids to play and toddlers to nap. We enjoyed the outdoor space as well! Check-in and communication were easy.
We gathered to celebrate a PhD and an engagement! We had 18 friends and family from 8 states (not all stayed at the house). It was the perfect place to host; plenty of space to gather and visit and be happy!
This was our second time renting. Beautiful old house. Some quirks but that is part of the fun.

Great value
Not the greatest part of town, but never felt unsafe. Had zero communication with owner, except note on the counter. Huge space with lots of rooms. Only one TV worked out of entire house. Lots of non-working lights. Master bath has a steam shower, but also doesn’t work. But for the price, it was a great value!
This is a beautiful historical home. Conveniently located minutes from the interstate highway.

Home not ready
Home was not ready when we got there. Had to check in at 5:30 and cleaning staff was still there. Contact host regarding where to leave extra garbage due to the holiday. Never text me back.

Lovely home
Very nice property with enough space for all of us. We were in town for a bowling tournament. The house had all the necessities which made making meals a breeze.
My wife and I hosted 3 of our adult children and their children at the Mansion. It is a beautiful place to stay. The grandkids ran miles throughout the halls and playing hide and seek in this 13,500 square ft estate and is only four minutes to the zoo. The owners are very kind and the kitchen is well equipped. The family loved the ballroom which had exercise equipment, pool table, a dining room table with comfortable chairs (great for playing games), and two large tvs….and another kitchen on the third floor. It was definitely a fun experience.
