Unacceptable
80 degrees in house, remote for AC missing, was told that we would get a replacement remote but never got one. Tried to cook on stove but gas ran out after 5 minutes. Asked for a refund and was told that they would get back to me but they didn’t. Owner of property tried to help. Fault lies with management company

Quiet, peaceful and friendly community
A lot of confusion and disorganization. Making the reservation took several hours because you app was not functioning correctly and your help desk couldn't do anything other than tell me to keep trying. I did not receive a lock box code to obtain the house key and spent 20 minutes o the phone getting it. My sister has a medical issue that precludes being able to eat in restaurants so I rented a home to have kitchen access...stove nor oven worked.... multiple maintenance requests made in the first four days with zero assistance provided, still not working at time of checkout. I had to purchase two hot plates and a crockpot to be able to cook. Home doesn't include manual/guidelines re property expectations like what needs to be done prior to checkout. Homeowner was very polite and helpful and extended my stay free of charge due to ongoing maintenance issue. But staff claim to not know that and we're very rude in talking with me, rather than calling Ms. Adams to clarify (I forwarded her text to more than one person). End result this rental was just not meant to be, I should have moved on when the app didn't work. I'm sure this is not typical as I've heard many positive things about VRBO from friends and family. I am sick and am trying to give my sister some good travel memories (Down Syndrome) for after I die. I truly tried to be patient but I just ran out of energy by day five of getting no where.

Had a nice stay!
Comfortable, very clean, everything you need. Kitchen totally equipped with all cooking utensils, cookware and more. We enjoyed the neighborhood to walk our dog. Minutes from restaurants and a grocery. We enjoyed Kay’s for a great meal, pleasantly surprised by the variety and sophisticated menu. Also had delicious Carolina BBQ and excellent Mexican and service at the Puerto Nuevo restaurant, all located on Pineola St in Newland. Our only issue was that the floors are very slick. We had to be careful when walking in our socks. Would definitely stay again.

Great house for a ski trip
It was an easy drive to Sugar Mountain for a ski trip. Loved the look of the house inside and out. A couple things we learned after the first day: don't lock the handle lock, just the deadbolt or you will be locked out (fantastic owner and Vacasa service got us back in quickly). Keep the primary bedroom door open or else the heat won't come in. Be careful on the slippery kitchen floor with socks on. Everything else was perfect, especially the heat lamp in the shower and comfy beds. Will definitely look at staying here again next time.
