The house was cozy and the decor was beautiful. It was quiet and peaceful.
The house was comfortable and matched the online photos. My family had a great time and we were able to drive to Joshua Tree a few times during our stay, which is exactly what we planned to do.
We booked this home last minute for a trip to see our military family who live in 29 palms. We had no idea this home was right down the street from a Joshua tree park campground. We were happily surprised to be able to explore the campsites and walk the nature trails.
The property owner did a wonderful job making this rental home feel cozy and inviting. We loved the charm of the cinderblock and post/beam architacture. The owner went above and beyond providing a outdoor mini pizza oven, a bag of charcoal for it, and in the kitchen fridge was ingredients to make a pizza. Plus they had firewood for a camp fire. I only wish we had more time to have made a pizza, wood fire, or sit in the heated spa.
We also slept comfortably on their foam mattresses (although we love our purple matress at home) their mattresses did not disappoint. Thank you for having us in your lovely home :-)
Peace D.

Peace was an amazing guest, she was very responsible and respectful of our home. I hope to host again in the future or recommend to other hosts.
The heat and AC were confusing because there were 2 systems. The only instructions were "set the thermostat to what you want". There was a central system with a thermostat on the wall. We discovered this system was blowing air, but did not produce cold or heat. Then there were 3 separate AC/heat units in each of the main rooms, which had a single unmentioned remote hidden in a drawer in the living room. Even after the remote was found they did not seem to work quite right. On 2 of the 3 units the heat turned off in the middle of the night with an annoying flashing green light. Anyway, it was one night of being cold due to no heat, and second night was bit better with one heater going. And then the one day we wanted to use the hot tub it was stuck at 90 degrees F, and we could not figure out how to get it hotter. While the properly and items inside were all great, having the heating issues really soured the experience. The high desert got cold! Also the hot tub was a selling point, and we really wanted to enjoy it after hiking, but it was not really "hot" as expected.
The first e-mail said "Here are your keys...", but actually it was confusing since it just had instructions on the keypad entry system, but not the actual code. It would have been more helpful to state the code was coming, because I was worried there was some mistake on the original message. They key code did come the day of.
