We absolutely adore Jimmy's cabin and consider it one of our favorite getaways. This was our second visit, and we're already eagerly planning our third! It's the perfect sanctuary to unwind from city life, as all stress simply melts away upon arrival. The cabin is thoughtfully stocked with every imaginable item, from kitchen essentials to board games. The tranquil outdoor space offers breathtaking views and is conveniently located just minutes from Mark Twain National Forest. This place is absolutely fantastic, a must-visit! Thank you again for yet another incredible stay!
This place is amazing, warm, cozy and in a beautiful setting. Mike was a great host and I loved his place. I was there on a hunting trip and 1000's of acres of beautiful Mark Twain National Forest abuts the property. Lots of wildlife and North Fork of the White River is only 3 miles away. It's a true nature lover's perfect place.
Beautiful home in the perfect tranquil setting to relax and unwind from the daily stress of life. No TV so it is extremely peaceful. We did have cell service though.
The stay was beautiful and very clean. Beds were comfortable. Suggest bringing a fan to push air to upstairs loft. 10/10 recommend and will be back. Teenagers even had a good time!
Mike was so kind and understanding. We had vehicle issues and he went above and beyond. I can't wait until we can book with him again and enjoy the cabin!
I took my son up for the youth turkey weekend. I chose Mike's cabin due to its proximity to the public hunting land. The cabin is fully furnished and has some very comfortable beds. We enjoyed our stay. P.S. My 10-year-old harvested his first turkey on our trip.

This property was excellent. We went for a weekend float trip at nearby North Fork River. The cabin offered just the right amount of creature comforts with all the benefits of being in nature. It was clean, cool, and the hosts were very communicative. Would definitely go back if we find ourselves in the area again.

Property was definitely secluded. No Internet or TV but plenty of card games and board games to keep everyone entertained. Fireflies at dusk were a nice surprise.
The shower is not tall folk friendly. I myself am 5'2" with wide hips and was almost touching the shower head, if I were to take a bath my hips would have been mighty tight.
The stairs to the loft are a spiral staircase with no outside railing. My 7 and 12 year olds were ok with it and loved it. My 15 year old said "nope" and chose the couch instead.
Close enough to things to tourist but secluded enough to feel like the middle of nowhere.
10/10 recommend.
We had a great time at the cabin. Played in the River fishing and swimming. Nice dinners in an easy to use and comfy kitchen. Cabin is quaint and charming. Loved the grill and all the family time playing games in the evenings!
We had an amazing stay over the Thanksgiving week/weekend. The cabin was impeccable and had an assortment of games for the kids to play! We thoroughly enjoyed our time and will definitely be back! Thanks for sharing your beautiful place with us!
Cabin is as described. Host is very accessible and accommodating. Great location if you are planning to spend some time on the river and want to be away from the hustle and bustle.
The cabin was well decorated, comfortable and clean. The beds were comfortable and everyone slept well. The pellet grill was easy to use and worked great. We even saw a flying squirrel while hanging out on the fro t porch one evening. This is a good location for fishing or floating the North Fork of the White River.
If you want a relaxing weekend this is the cabin for you. The beautiful landscape and trails around the area gives you a ton of free activities to do. Mike answers quickly when any questions arise. Hands down one of the most relaxing weekends i have had. The cabin has all the needs you want.

This property was amazing; such a perfect little spot!! The aesthetic aspect of this property was phenomenal. The hosts were amazing with communication and kindness. So many little touches that made it absolutely perfect. Looking at booking again in a month or two. So definitely a winner!!
A friend and I booked this cabin for a hunting trip and it was absolutely perfect. Its tucked way back in the woods and backs directly up to hundreds of acres of public land which has a ton of game. Mike was very helpful and was quick with answering any questions I had. I 100% recommend this place, especially if you just want a little break from city life.
Boy let me tell you mikes property is absolutely stung the work done on the Cabin in 1977 is flawless and the land around even better with trails and the river near by you can’t beat this place very homey vibe with a lot of clarity to offer thanks Mike!
We came out for a week of hunting. Unfortunately the weather was awful. That’s no fault to Mike, he went above and beyond to help us out. The cabin is secluded but convenient to west plains. Will definitely book again.
I enjoyed the cabin because it was peaceful and there was little access to wifi or cell service. I am appreciative of having some supplies available such as coffee, hair dryer and snacks. I wish I could have stayed longer, but we had a short trip. The neighbors were friendly, the gate code was easy to access as well as the keys.
