Beautiful historic farmhouse. The listing was accurate, It was the perfect place to stay when we visited Montrose for a reunion. Beds comfortable and it was very clean and beautifully restored. We would definitely stay again!

Exceptionally charming and had everything you could need. Keep in mind the two single beds are more kid-friendly than for adults. The location was serene and talking by the fire pit was relaxing. We never turned a t.v. on! Hope to stay again in the future!

This historic house is a true gem. It is masterfully restored and decorated. From the tire swing to the fire pit, this property offers a real experience beyond a place to stay. It’s an ideal location for Montrose, the gateway to Ouray and Black Canyon of the Gunnison South Rim. Small children will love the twin poster beds, and the kitchen has a magnificent vintage gas stove for cooking. It’s a unique property unlike any other.

Great Place

Arrived to a wonderful home. Everything was just as described. Easy to check in and find rooms. Perfect location for everything we needed to do. Would highly recommend anyone looking for a pleasant place to stay to check this home out.

The owners have really done a great job updating the historic farmhouse. It is a wonderful house and very comfortable and very clean.The kitchen is large and very well stocked. The beds are very comfortable and the shower was great!The property is beautiful. Our dog loved the huge yard. There are gorgeous trees and although it wasn’t warm enough to use it, the pool looked terrific.We had to get in touch with the owner a couple of times. He responded right away and was so kind.

Hiking adventure

Charming old farmhouse on a quiet agricultural setting, we enjoyed our time there hiking and relaxing. Loved the well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds.

Modern farmhouse

What a beautiful property and location! Stayed here with my family and lived the history of the home but appreciated all the work done to keep it updated but still preserve it's farmhouse charm. We also ran into the owners in telluride and they are great people, would stay here again!

We needed to book a place that had room for grandparents and a family of 5 at the last minute. We had a RV that couldn't be repaired in time to take on our regular trip to Southern Colorado for the changing of colors. This house was the ticket. It had great grounds and was in the right area. JJ was great at understanding our situation and his communication was great. The kitchen and equipment was super. It allowed us to cook meals for all of us with a lot of room. The restoration of this old home is terrific. Still some basement areas that are in the process of being renovated, but all living areas have been renovated while keeping the turn of century timeliness visible. A few of the older doors could have closed better, but even in newer homes not all the doors fit well. The HVAC unit worked very well for both heating and cooling.Having a master bedroom on the ground floor and the other bedrooms upstairs was very important for an older couple. The entrances had high steps, but I am sure that having snowfall in the winter is the reason for that. There was plenty of parking for our group and the location was accessible by good roads, but in a quiet area. Having the Canadian Geese cleaning the fields nearby was a bonus.This house is definitely on our list of preferred locations to stay in this area.

Great visit with family!

The house had a lot of character and we loved the historic aspects of it. Beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were all updated and beautiful. JJ was very accommodating and responsive!

Old folks motorcycle trip

What a special place! This was a treat for our group. A lovingly restored 150 year old farm house! Well updated, every thing we wanted. We got to meet JJ, great guy. If you are lucky enough to get to stay here I’m sure you will love it too! I hope to return!

Peaceful Country Setting!

We were in Colorado for a week with friends to visit the mountains and this was a great place to relax and unwind. We loved the country setting and the rustic farmhouse feel. We spent almost as much time outside as we did inside during the evenings. Would absolutely stay here again!

Restful stay under the cottonwood trees

We had a wonderful stay at the Historic Spring Creek Farmhouse in Montrose, the kitchen and dining area was perfect for cooking, dining and spending quality time with friends and family and the expansive well kept yard invited guests to play, read and rest under the cottonwood trees in the pleasant breeze. Our two puppies also loved the property and the house was the perfect base camp for hiking the Black Canyon, Blue Lakes Trail and Mt Sneffels.

Amazing Farmhouse

We loved this house so much. It accommodated our group so well. We had plenty of room to spread out. The property is immaculate and the house is well stocked. The host is very easy to communicate with and answered all our questions quickly. Highly recommend this property- we will be back!

Family Reunion

We had a wonderful time on the property cooking and just hanging out. We also used the extra house for our extended family. The addition of pickleball was a hit. Thank you for such a beautiful home.

Check in was fine. Kitchen facilities were great and everything was accessible. My only suggestion would be to make available a full size refrigerator in the kitchen area. Although one could be accessed in the unfinished basement, a full sized unit in the kitchen would have have much more convenient.

Montrose getaway

This property was everything we needed for our visit to see family and mountains! The house and the grounds are beautiful and the host thought of everything. We had all the tools we needed to cook (loved using the grill and the fire pit to cook out) and plenty of towels, toys, floats, even a speaker, to enjoy our time in the pool. There were 8 of us in our group and we enjoyed having plenty of room to cook together and play games in the evenings. We will be back!

This house was so amazing and absolutely perfect for us. We had our wedding in Montrose, and this was the perfect property for our “home base” with lots of room and accommodations for us, our wedding party, and family. We also rented the bungalow on the property. Both houses are old farm houses that have been renovated with modern amenities with the vintage charm. The backyard was spacious and perfect for yard games, there is a fire pit (we were in a fire ban so weren’t able to use it but looked awesome!) and the perfect spot for an outside meal, conversation, and drinks. Perfect spot for the dog to be a dog. Pet friendly, charming, friendly, roomy and spacious. The house was clean, beds were very comfortable, fluffy and soft blankets throughout, the bathroom towels were like home: soft and fluffy and plentiful (way better than any hotel!). The host was friendly, communicative, and very accommodating. This VRBO was the perfect touch to making our wedding weekend magical. Thank you for everything! 5 stars all the way down!

This place is unique and has a special charm. We really enjoyed our stay here. It was clean and comfortbale for our group. We were traveling with trailers nd there was plenty of space for parking. The host was responsive and accoodating.

We love this house and the property!!! Our favorite rental in Montrose. The hosts are very nice. Comfortable beds. Beautiful old house with lots of charm. Great AC. Lovely shaded yard. Great for bird watching and spotting deer and peacocks. We will be back!!!
