STEPS AWAY from the Journeyman Distillery, Acorn Theatre and only a block away to the shops & restaurants of Three Oaks, MI - the Hallmark town of Harbor Country!

Renovated and professionally designed by a local interior designer, we’ve transformed this historic cottage into an incredible oasis! Enjoy this original and historic Three Oaks Cottage (former Featherbone Factory Supervisor cottage) that includes all the modern conveniences and special touches that discerning travelers expect from an exceptional rental home

Perfect for wedding parties, couples, families and/or a fun friend get-away weekend, we offer hotel quality mattresses, bedding & towels; a thoughtfully stocked kitchen with a complimentary coffee & tea bar; an inviting electric fireplace, smart TVs, patio and deck with twinkle lights, gas grill, firepit & a HUMONGOUS fenced yard for kids to run safely with tons of space to play bags/horseshoes/croquet/soccer/football and more! Come relax, unwind and enjoy!

Each of the 3 large, comfortable bedrooms are equipped with luxurious bedding and mattresses/pillows, a luggage rack, and extra USB charging outlets per room. The two separate living/sitting areas have smart TV with Netflix.

The kitchen is HUGE with dine in table/chairs, a fully equipped, modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances, (dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave, coffee grinder, toaster, mixer, crock pot, and refrigerator with filtered ice/water) and includes a COMPLIMENTARY coffee, tea and hot chocolate bar. We have lots of wine glasses (!), spices and all the pots, pans and bakeware you need for cooking and baking.

The bathroom has been updated and includes a soaking tub for two and a rain shower. We provide luxurious towels, an iron, hair dryer and other travel amenities in case you forget something.

We have added for your convenience all the “extras” that make The Oaks stand out from the rest:
A new stackable washer and dryer, family board games and books, 5G wifi, central air/heat, and a humongous fenced in yard with gas grill, firepit table, twinkle lights, separate patio area, horseshoes, bags and fire pit in the yard for s’mores and cocktails to take in the SPECTACULAR sunsets we get in the backyard!

The Oaks location CANNOT BE BEAT! We are within walking distance to everything Three Oaks has to offer and driving distance to all the wonderful attractions in Southwest Michigan - beaches, Warren Dunes State Park, hiking/biking trails, kayaking, wineries, breweries, dispensaries, casino, u-pick farms, shops and restaurants!

This a a gem of a place. Roomy, cozy and very organized. Everything you need. The hosts are amazing. For starters, a welcome basket with really good snacks, plenty of water in the fridge...really thoughtful. Desiree is super nice and when I say accommodating - I mean above and beyond. It's so close to everything but quiet at the same time. We would definitely stay again.

Perfect location and great home

Our trip to Three Oaks was amazing. Two families stayed at The Oaks (4 adults and 5 young kids) and we were very pleased with the communication, beautiful home, and location. We would definitely rent again!

Such a nice updated cute home! It was very clean. A lot of nice amenities. A nice welcome note and plenty of information about the surrounding areas to see. There were such nice treats, water, ice, coffee, tea and all the items that made us feel like we were at home! Desiree was so nice and accommodating. We appreciated how thoughtful and friendly she was!

Beauty, Location, and Hospitality

The house was beautifuly decorated and had absolutely everything our family needed. Everything was clean, and no details were lacking. Travelling with 3 little kids - Desiree left us snacks and goodies that made our stay just that much more perfect! She checked in on us and was always available. Walking distance to many cute restaurants and shops, and a short drive to everything else. I would definitely recommend this home, and would definitely stay here again.

Cozy and comfy

Homeowner was exceptional with communication. the home is well stocked with kitchen and bedroom items (extra pillows and blankets). Furniture is very comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed. Smart TV. Cozy patio with lighting and a fire pit. Huge back yard! We came in for the Apple Cider, Century, Ride, Three, Oaks, and location was perfect. Town is very cute too. Many nice touches - water bottles, snacks, coffee, and a bottle of wine! Thanks!!

Guest chefs at Granor Farm

Our team of 6- some cooking, some working on marketing and some spouses along for fun- came to Three Oaks and The Oaks home for two nights. We absolutely loved it. The home is beautifully done with great bath towels, comfortable beds with lovely bed linens, complementary coffee, tea, bottled water. We loved the back yard—and the patio. We loved walking a couple blocks to downtown for shopping and dining. The kitchen is wonderful and we sat around the table together at night just talking. In the mornings, relaxing with coffee in the living room. Desiree could not have been a better host- checking in and out was easy- and she let us know she was right there if we needed anything during our stay. I cannot recommend the Oaks enough. We will definitely be back and recommend it to friends.

Son's wedding celebration

From the moment I booked with Desiree I knew this would be a fabulous place to rent. She was so accommodating and sweet. The house was everything I wanted from the beauty of it to the perfect location. My family and I were able to walk to the wedding venue at The Journeyman Distillery. The layout of the house was wonderful. It had a gorgeous family room and a great smaller tv room for the older kids to play games and watch tv. The yard was so beautiful and relaxing. Perfect in everway. I hope to rent this house again soon snd mire times in the future. I would rate it more stars than 5 if I could! Thanks Desiree. You made our special day fantastic!!

Just Perfect!

My sister and I visited The Oaks for a few days at the end of October and had a wonderful stay. Upon arrival, we found a very nice welcome card from the Owner along with a bottle of wine and snacks. We also appreciated the large Fall coffee mugs left on the counter. So many little details that were very much appreciated. Very cozy and comfortable. The house was impeccable...nothing out of place and super clean. The decor was absolutely beautiful, comfy beds and pillows as well as soft white towels. The outside space is so big. We were only able to enjoy that space for our morning coffee one day and wine one evening as the weather did not cooperate. Would have loved to spend more time out there. Desiree was such a great host and we really appreciated her messages to us with helpful hints and recommendations. I needed to reach out to her once during our stay and she responded immediately. We visited a few spots in town, Patelli's, Viola's Cafe, Journeyman, Froehlich's Bakery and the Froehlich's Restaurant and Store. Patelli's pizza was really good! I only had a problem with the bakery as they served me a frozen pastry. I guess I assumed they would make fresh every morning. We would definitely book The Oaks again without hesitation. You should too...you will love it!!!

We loved the location within walking distance to the lovely coffee shop and book store. We enjoyed relaxing in the beautifully decorated and comfortable living room. Each evening we enjoyed sitting on the patio at sunset. It was an easy drive to Warren Dunes and the owner provided all our needs for the beach. This home is a comfortable home away from home. It was a perfect place for a week in the lake country. I highly recommend the Oaks.

For years, Harbor Country was our escape and "happy place". Where life slowed down and we unplugged and reconnected.

Summers were filled with beach days, farmers markets, ice cream cones at Oinks, evenings around a fire, incredible sunsets, and discovering the hidden treasures that make this little village and all of Harbor Country unforgettable.

When we found this cottage, we didn't simply renovate it.
We recreated the feeling we had fallen in love with. We wanted to build a "special place" that called others back every summer.
Not just a beautiful house (but of course that is important too).

But a place where people could slow down.
Reconnect.
Laugh.
Rest.
Make memories.
And hopefully leave feeling just a little reluctant to go home.

An original worker cottage built for the Featherbone Factory supervisor! The sidewalk in the backyard ends where the outhouse once was! We are only the second people to own the home… the original owners birthed their two daughters here!
