To start, it is a beautiful property that feels like you're in the middle of nowhere even though you are only 5 minutes from town. We also apprecaited that the hosts thought about everything we could need for our stay! They had beach towels, bug spray, sunscreen and even stuff for our dog like kennels and bowls! Communication was alsp fantastic, hosts responded very quickly and also made sure to check in with us throughout the stay to make sure things were going well. Would 100% book again!
Arrived at Sibley Shores and shortly after getting settled realized pipes were frozen. Contacted Jeff and Karen and they had another Vrbo next to the property, Becker Lane and we were able to move. Beautiful area of MN.
A positive sign for me is when I walk into a property and see they have baskets that offer up items we may have forgotten such as sunscreen, etc. In this case, they had multiple baskets including treats. We loved the large family room that offered a gas fireplace, which we used every morning, and a TV to watch -- whatever. A pleasant surprise was the authentic Pac Man video game, which was a hit with both adults and the 5-year-old. Ditto a foosball table. The kitchen was a highlight for all the chefs. It's the first time we can recall that a property had everything we needed, including a rolling pin. And cooking on a Viking stove was a treat for all involve. Loved the quiet dishwasher, too.We had two under the age of two years old in our group of nine. They had lots of equipment for us to use including a pack and play and a tabletop highchair. For the outdoors, one really gets a sense of privacy due to the size of the lot. We had outdoor fires on two different nights using oak firewood that was provided. We also did some boating. We didn't fish, but judging by the number of boats we saw doing so, it's a popular lake. This is the only property I have stayed at where all beds were either a king- or queen-sized. No bedrooms are jammed with bunk beds or singles. All of us came away feeling relaxed with this getaway. The hosts are the definition of gracious.
We came for a sister-and-niece weekend, and it was absolutely perfect. The cabin is set on beautiful acreage, giving us peace, privacy, and plenty of space to relax. Everything was spotless and so well taken care of. The cabin had everything we needed, and we felt comfortable right away. It was the ideal mix of cozy, fun, and relaxing. We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway—highly recommend!
Very much enjoyed our stay at this house, plenty of room for everyone to spread out and lots to do. The house was nicely furnished and very comfortable. The front deck and lower patio were perfect places to sit and view the lake and all its wildlife. The kids fished off the dock and caught some big bass, which was one of their highlights. Also enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boat. One of our best VRBO stays !!!
The cabin was lovely! The porch room was our favorite with windows on three sides. The kayaks were a big plus, fun to fish from. AC worked great. Kitchen was well stocked along with a crock pot, spices and condiments in the fridge. Gas grill was a hit each night. We were there for three nights and caught 10 northern pike, 26 crappies, 24 largemouth bass and one walleye. We even took our fishing boat on a day trip to the neighboring Mayo lake by going through the connecting stream. We had to clear away some beaver branches that were blocking the path. We were lucky enough not to have anyone staying in the second building on the property. So we enjoyed both docks. We met Karen and she was great. A wonderful getaway in a private lake setting!
We really appreciated the responsiveness and flexibility of the hosts. Was a great place for our family to gather. Rooms were very clean. Lots of nice small touches and details taken care of by the hosts. Would highly recommend!
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful property. The space was very clean, well maintained, well stocked and met all of our needs! The hosts are extremely kind and accommodating. It’s secluded on a nice, quiet lake but also close to town with lots to do. Definitely recommend this stay!
Our girls trip to this property was so much fun. The property is pretty secluded and very quiet. The house smells clean and fresh as soon as you walk in. It was clean, cozy, and such cute decor. We had plenty of space and tons of room to do outdoor activities. There were lots of amenities especially a nice kitchen with everything you could need. There is lots of space to eat together, hang out together and plenty of sleeping space. The communication was amazing and they were very kind and responsive. I hope to be back sometime!
The house and property are beautiful, very clean, and has everything you could need. Jeff and Karen are wonderful hosts and very easy to work with. We had a wonderful time!!
Our group of 5 adults and one dog, really enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of room to relax, cook and play games. The bedrooms were all very comfortable. This home has everything you need and a great view.
