About this property

Lake Life!

The thing I love most about our home is our amazing sunrises. It’ll feel like you’re 1,000,000 miles from civilization when you’re just tucked away on a semi-private lake. Enjoy fishing, swimming, boating, floating, sun bathing, or just simply relaxing. We are only 10 minutes from shopping, restaurants, golf courses, parks and hiking, and several major wedding venues. We are 20 minutes from downtown chattanooga and major city attractions including Rock City, Ruby Falls, Chattanooga Aquarium, Chattanooga Zoo, Cherokee National Forest, the Ocoee River, and much more. Our lake season is limited to six months. Mid April through mid October. You will always have amazing water views and sunrises, but water activities may be limited during the off-season.

We are pet friendly for smaller, house broken, cage trained pets, but please ask about our pet fee.

Come see why we love Chattanooga and choose to call Ooltewah our home. This is a private access, basement apartment in my home. We live upstairs. But you'll have all the privacy you want and need for a great vacation with your own private driveway, private entrance, and private hot tub, and fire pit. The pool is heated during spring and fall, and the kayak and paddle board are free to use. There is a wave runner for rent at an additional fee if you choose. The bed swing makes for great afternoon naps, and the lounge chairs are the perfect setting for a sun tan.

The view cannot be expressed in words. Even though we went when it was cold, it was absolutely beautiful. It’s like waking up and being in the most peaceful place you could imagine. Pool was not heated , but the description said it was. A heated pool was our deciding factor to select the location so that was very disappointing. The room was smaller than most hotel rooms which was also a surprise as the pictures made it seem much larger. Sound carried very well from people upstairs so at 7:30am there was no chance of sleeping in. It wasn’t a bad stay but definitely wasn’t what we had planned for.

Very nice place for our Labor Day on the lake. Boat lift was nice for protecting our boat. Dock was clean and had a nice set up. Pool and Hot tub were enjoyed bunches and perfect for a romantic weekend for us. View is pretty as it gets. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the host were great, very accommodating. “Our stay at this lakeside VRBO was absolutely wonderful. The space was clean, comfortable, and very private, making it the perfect spot to relax and recharge. If you’re looking to feel like you’re a million miles away, but still close to civilization, this is in place. Breathtaking views in the perfect lake setting. The water is great for boating, floating, swimming, or just laying out. Lots of great restaurants within 10 minutes. Close to Chattanooga, the Ocoee River, the Cherokee National Forest, Lookout Mountain, along with Ruby, Falls, and Rock City. Private driveway and entrance. Very Romantic. Free paddle board and Kayak, along with some yard games to make your stay more fun. Pool and dock are shared. Hot tub is private and for guests only. A wave runner is available for rent by the hour with a signed waver and fee of $85/hour.
