About this property

Lake Life!

The thing I love most about our home is our amazing sunrises. It’ll feel like you’re 1,000,000 miles from civilization when you’re just tucked away on a semi-private lake. Enjoy fishing, swimming, boating, floating, sun bathing, or just simply relaxing. We are only 10 minutes from shopping, restaurants, golf courses, parks and hiking, and several major wedding venues. We are 20 minutes from downtown chattanooga and major city attractions including Rock City, Ruby Falls, Chattanooga Aquarium, Chattanooga Zoo, Cherokee National Forest, the Ocoee River, and much more. Our lake season is limited to six months. April through October. You will always have amazing water views and sunrises, but water activities may be limited during the off-season.

We are pet friendly for smaller, house broken, cage trained pets, but please ask about our pet fee.

Come see why we love Chattanooga and choose to call Ooltewah our home. This is a private access, basement apartment in my home. We live upstairs. But you'll have all the privacy you want and need for a great vacation with your own private driveway, private entrance, and private hot tub, and fire pit. The pool is heated during spring and fall, and the kayak and paddle board are free to use. There is a wave runner for rent at an additional fee if you choose. The bed swing makes for great afternoon naps, and the lounge chairs are the perfect setting for a sun tan.

Great place

A lovely place, closer to the places we wanted to visit like Chattanooga etc but not directly in town. The place was neat, access to pool and paddle board was nice, definitely a nice place for someone who likes to fish as well.

If you haven’t stayed here yet, what are you waiting for? This place is so beautiful and quiet. The check in/check out process was easy. My hosts were very attentive to make sure my stay was great. I will definitely be booking again in the future.

Minimoon Stay

An amazing stay for our minimoon following our wedding. The property is beautiful and cozy with an intimate atmosphere. Nice weekend getaway

We had a wonderful time! The location is stunning! We particularly enjoyed having breakfast down by the lake and relaxing in the hot tub! One suggestion we have is to make the entrance more visible or direct us toward the back of the house on check in instructions. Also, the fire pit would lite but would not stay lit. Thanks for the nice stay!

Property was immaculate, so much fun to enjoy the lake, kayaking around, and the opportunity for the hot tub/pool. The room was clean and had everything needed/wanted. The bed was bery comfortable and fit my large frame that's 6'3".

What a lovely spot!! The accommodations were just right for us, clean, tasteful, convenient quiet. Our hosts were kind and very gracious. The bed was so comfy!! First thing in the morning the quiet is peaceful, tranquil, food for the soul. Plenty to do kayaking jet skiing and SUP!! We will definitely return!

We were there for a wedding at Howe Farms. All other attendees were 45+ minutes away. We were 12 minutes. It was fantastic! Loved the place. Would like to go back for a couple days away when we have time to use the pool and hot tub. They looked so inviting.

Awesome Stay

My husband and I were in town for a 60th Wedding Anniversary family party.....and what a perfect place this was for us to stay. The VRBO hosts invited us to join them on an unexpected boat ride one evening to enjoy the beauty of the setting sun in the sky over the river. And the rest of our stay was a true escape for my husband and I when we returned from family festivities to just relax and unwind in the pool and hot tub. It was just what we needed. We couldn't have asked for more. We highly recommend. Thank you!

My experience: Terrible. The property: As advertised. We arrived on our check in date around 8 pm after a long drive only to find that the host was hosting guests upstairs for a party and had completely forgotten that we were checking in. The bed was not made, trash cans were overflowing and personal items from a previous guests were left in the bathroom. We messaged the host several times to avoid having to go knock on the door but received no response. Once we went up and knocked on the door, we realized that both hosts were very intoxicated. Amidst their intoxication, they promised to give us a full refund and to pay for the hotel that we had to get that night. While they did refund us part of the stay, the taxes and cleaning fees were not refunded and they refused to pay for the hotel like they promised. The worst part about the stay was not the mistake that was made but the way we were attacked when trying to collect what they promised. Things ended with me being accused of black mail...We did nothing wrong... We will not be coming back. People show their true colors when mistakes happen, the hosts handled the situation very poorly.

Very nice place for our Labor Day on the lake. Boat lift was nice for protecting our boat. Dock was clean and had a nice set up. Pool and Hot tub were enjoyed bunches and perfect for a romantic weekend for us. View is pretty as it gets. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the host were great, very accommodating. Certainly will stay here as much as we can.

If you’re looking to feel like you’re a million miles away, but still close to civilization, this is in place. Breathtaking views in the perfect lake setting. The water is great for boating, floating, swimming, or just laying out. Lots of great restaurants within 10 minutes. Close to Chattanooga, the Ocoee River, the Cherokee National Forest, Lookout Mountain, along with Ruby, Falls, and Rock City. Private driveway and entrance. Very Romantic. Free paddle board and Kayak, along with some yard games to make your stay more fun. Pool and dock are shared. Hot tub is private and for guests only. A wave runner is available for rent by the hour with a signed waver and fee of $85/hour.
