Not what it seems

While this house was adequate for a single night stay, I would not be comfortable for much longer The first thing of importance for people to know is that there is a steep step going into the second bedroom. Perhaps not a problem going in but could easily lead to falls when getting up to go to the bathroom at night. There is a lovely backyard to the property but no furniture to allow you to enjoy it. The biggest negative surprise however was the next morning. I prepared a cup of the coffee provided only to find there was NO sugar, sweetener, or creamer. With regards to service, the unit had not been cleaned at 4 pm the regular checkin time. When we checked again shortly after 5 it still hadn’t been cleaned. Our phone call went to voice mail and I also left message via VRBO. The owner did call back about 45 minutes later to say the cleaning crew had been sent to the wrong address but would arrive shortly I explained that we were at dinner and hoped it would be done when we got back to the house . The crew was finishing up when we returned a little after 7 pm.

Poor host/dirty home

Messaged host multiple times w/no response. House was dirty when we arrived. Rug in the bathroom was dirty, hair in the sink and shower. Sheets did not look clean. My daughter had bed bug bites from one room. We all cramped into the 2nd room and the couch due to this. Living space was hot, messaged host to see how we can turn on the fan, no response. 1 toilet paper roll for each room. We purchased a few and left it for the potential next crew. Would not recommend and would not rent again. We have rented many VRBO’s and this has been the worst experience.

No wifi no host communication

Location was safe and good. Place was spacious. We contacted host by phone, text email and VRBO customer service and never got any response. The futon did not have sheets and we had to go out after driving 14 hours to find sheets at 9 pm. We did not have WiFi the entire stay. This is unacceptable bc the listing says free WiFi. I work from my computer and needed WiFi

Served it’s purpose

Overall it was a good place to stay. Could’ve had a few more amenities like more than 2 rolls of toilet paper for an 11 day stay, a few cleaning supplies, etc. Biggest disappointment was the homeowner not responding to emails asking about the remote for the gate to allow us to park off the street.
